There is probably not a modern rock drummer today that at some point was not influenced by Carmine Appice or John Bonham. 2 of the greatest rock drummers to ever do it

He ain't wrong though. He is a great drummer. What's wrong with acknowledging that?

Appice was before Bonham. Bonham was a big fan of Appice.

Carmine and his brother Vinny, both are awesome rock and roll drummers ......... along with Cozy Powell, Ginger Baker, Keith Moon, and John Bonham you can hardly match their drumming.

I can't stomach this. Yes, Carmine has chops. He doesn't have a humble meter. All he has ever done is blame everyone for his faults and claim credit for for everyone's successes. I don't think I have ever read an article or seen a video in which this man tries to take credit or complain about everything thing. I've bee to one of his clinics. It failed with the audience because he was to busy showing off and complaining why he got fired for this or that. Of course it was everyone else's fault. I have never read a article or seen an old video of John Bonham never credited Carmine with the triplet fills Carmine tells everyone John ripped off. John was a straight up guy. He has told everyone about his influences. I do not recall him thanking Carmine. He got fired from Ozzy because he was awful. Not because Sharon Osbourne didn't like him. I'm sorry if this doesn't sit well with people but it is what it is.

Completely agree. He also credited himself in claiming Bonham copied his drum kit. Bonham's always seemed to like jazz and soul drummers. To further add, Bonham wasn't doing a full triplet on the kick like he was saying (not saying he couldn't. He just did not do so on the 1st album specifically Good Times...). It was fast doubles with the last beat of the triplet being a high hat stroke. I'd think he would know this being a professional musician. I've never been impressed with his playing. I like Vinnie's playing far more than Carmine's. Especially his work with Dio.

All while growing up, Carmine was my favorite rock drummer. By the time I met him, I was in my fifties. Suffice it to say, sometimes you’re better off not meeting your boyhood heroes!

You asked if Bonham stole Carmine's triplet? I've heard this tired story forever and it so fake. Bonham took a concept and did something totally different. He was unique. Carmine was a very good rock drummer, but not even close to Bonham. Sickening that you would say it's the Carmine Appice triplets to just kiss his as*. Carmine tells that story in every interview. It's laughable. I bet you collaborated in the pre-interview to bring it up.
