Randy doen't only have the blessing of the Hendrix family, but that of all the people who love Jimi's music. I think he's the only one who really embodies the sound as well as the spirit of Jimi Hendrix.

So fitting, that he is also from Seattle!...I caught him back in 1976, when he was just starting out...he stunned me with his excellent cover versions, and he even managed to LOOK like Jimi, despite being a White guy! Just a few years ago, I caught his act again, over 35 years later!...I shook his hand during a break.

I mean lots of guitar players can play Jimis guitar riffs but I've never heard anybody sing like Jimi Hendrix. Except for Randy! that's the most stunning thing about him as a performer and a human being to me. It's like watching Jimi Hendrix singing all his cool songs! It's stupefying!

Chris Daniel being a good guitarist would include a good grasp of Hendrix catalogue - Hansen nails it and then some with originality humor respect and style. As well being a great performer..Jimi is a hard act- I’d say Randy nails it. He isn’t copying Hendrix like some Vegas tribute show- he is an awesome musician who feels “it” on many levels - he said himself from the time he was a teen and played the music this is how it affected him... natural excitement.... as a Hendrix devotee and guitar player I have nothing but respect. Check out more Hendrix then watch more Randy and maybe it will click. 🎸

"I'm just copying what he imagined in his mind"
Srv stated. So if you're comfortable With imitating and Living in someone else's footsteps then great. Jimi was a complete original. Keep that in mind before you guys say that jimi would be proud. Honestly, Jimi would want randy to be his own person. ✌🏿

Let me tell you what I do myself. I've been playing guitar for 20 years. I have played with several bands and in the Netherlands I can be found on many albums of other bands.
I play for myself Hendrix Vai marino Sateriani paco the lucia, rosenberg trio one where I deal a lot with jam this is a gypsy trio.
Now Randy, I do not know where one gets all the positive comments, but this is so far from reality.
His songs are first and foremost a personal interpretation of Hendrix but lacks the feel. Ritmically he is not in any song well it is played sloppily I have the most liks missing a proper rendition and rhythmically you can not him besides hendrix polaten, he is regularly in the wrong framework. If you hear him playing with other musicians, this is immediately noticeable.
It would be hard to bear with a lot of effort and an ear but his looks are anti Hendrix no moves no expression or his face becomes an image that is straight against Hendrix.
I would not book him for a room where a hundred people would be able to ...
One of the least interpreters of the Hendrix material.
