This was an absolute peak of her career. Her management should be burned to ground for not making an epic DVD from the European leg.
Rumor has it they were yet to film another HBO special (that would eventually become a DVD, just like The Monster Ball), but it got cancelled since she had to cancel the remaining of the tour.
I heard they were supposed to film in New York but she was injured by then and had to cancel
@Iwan It was not, Born This Way would have a dvd as well. Joanne tour has some pro shots of the arena around the web, I believe it was filmed but not released.
Why European leg? The tour was better in Asia in so many ways her make up, body everything was better in the Asian leg and has more successful
luqman turakı as far as I remember the staging production and lighting got better in Europe. It was more diverse, her team added more elements and objects to the stage, also she perfected the dancing and dynamics. She was also in better shape, she struggled a lot with her health in the beginning of the tour (she even puked from the stage during Edge of Glory).

Yes, I felt sorry for her, but she was strong and continued, because I love this woman.
She was already in pain backstage. However when lady gaga heard her little monsters scream and be excited for her she thought : " all those monsters are here for me. Let's just do it!" And so she tried just ignoring the pain. But at the bridge of SCHEIBE she just had to scream. Her hips were in too much pain. She decided to do some calmer songs after that wich would be the last songs for her little monsters
@@timrutten5990 I think she was in pain for a few shows, but the crowd’s applause and energy kept her going. That’s where Applause came from.
I fine it crazy how she still managed especially during Marry The Night where she was running and just walking while the music played. Did not even complain at all during MTN.
It's a shame that there was no DVD recording for this. Was the most amazing show I've ever saw

This woman changed my whole life
It breaks my heart seeing her perform scheiße. You can hear her scream out in pain, and then when she goes to the floor and bangs the floor with her fists :( You can see the pain in her face and that she is struggling to go on. I was at the second show in Birmingham for the Joanne World Tour, which ultimately turned out to be the last show for her, But you could not guess for a second the pain she was in that night. she really put 200% in for over two hours with CONSTANT choreography and high pace. Knowing know the pain she must have been in, makes it even more incredible that she performed at all. Let alone at the level she did. I Stan a legend

It’s crazy to think that the dancers, the band, and her whole crew/team didn’t know this would be the last show of this tour. I’m glad Gaga is doing better than she was in this video. I still wish we got a tour DVD. This tour literally changed my life. I remember in 2012 the first performance I’ve ever watched from this tour on TH-cam was Bloody Mary. I remember being so blown away by the stage, outfits, dancing, everything. Nobody will ever top this tour. It had the best stage and outfits. I love this tour so much. So sad that it got cut short.

Gaga is very inspired by musical theater, as she grew up doing a lot of theatre! :) Including, Cabaret. So much of her work is very Cabaret esque. Also, Wilkomen from Cabaret is the opening number, where the character the Emcee introduces the audience to the show. Gaga is doing the same thing essentially.

The way she reacted when the audience sang "live passionately tonight" during her Marry The Night performance almost made ME cry. You can tell she's in so much pain and it's so hard for me to watch her like that. I love you, Gaga. With everything I am. You are the most important person in the world to me and I just cannot get enough of you. You are my literal everything

If you didn't know little monsters, I've heard that her hip pain started in government hooker, apparently she missed a step but covered it up very well as an amazing artist would. It was schiebe when her hip got so much worse that she couldn't walk the next day. Such a shame that she had to quit up this amazing show. :*
her hip injury started 3 months before this show. she started having pain around november of the year before this show. she said she started seeing bulls and swollen areas in her body but never said a think because she knew it was going to cost her tour. so she kept quiet. every night since november from 2012 her hip got worse until it snapped on montreal. it didnt start on government hooker, it started months before. when she said she missed a step she meant that she literally stumbled because she missed one of the steps.

This is pure perfection. I went to the second Melbourne show is Aus, and it has been the best night of my life so far.
On a sadder note, I can see the difference between Melbourne and her last show. She was absolutely on fire in Melb, but theres almost something changed about her here. She said she hid her injury from everyone for quite a while, but you can almost tell she's in physical pain here if you compare her to earlier shows. All the best mother monster, get well soon xx

watching her hug all the fans at the end made me bawl! You could tell how genuinely upset she was:(
I remember this was my second live show ever and many followed after that but nothing ever topped this! This literally blew me away. Just the way the kick drum started thumping in your chest in the intro making it almost hard to breathe. This is also the most intricate stage design I've ever seen. I mean that castle has like four storeys and it folds open. I see so many times where artist have this huge stage but nothing ever happens and it makes them look rather small. This felt truly like a religious experience and really took you to a different universe for two hours. Amazing!
BTW had better props, but the artRAVE provoked more energy, and was more of a celebration.

Analytic true, the props in btw looked almost too real. At one point Gaga looked like the alien from alien vs preadotar
All the tours have their own theme.
BTW was meant to have a storyline while artrave was meant to be a celebration

I've seen the Monster Ball tour, unfortunately I didn't get to see this one in person, and I'm going in a few days to see ArtRave. Maybe It's because I've been a huge fan and supporter of Gaga since day one, but I feel like each tour is creative and beautiful in It's own special way. I've seen her evolve as an artist and person, and I love it. People don't completely get Artpop, but I think It's because It's not like most conventional pop. I do believe though It's special in its own way. I love you sooo much Gaga and I can't WAIT to see you on Thursday

+Oscar Medellín (warpaint) when I saw a photo illustrating the damage to her hip, I'm astounded that she lasted as long as she did on this tour. Not only did she fracture her hip but the pelvic joint with the hip had several quarter-sized holes in the bone plate where the bone itself had either been punched through from impacts or the bone itself was literally dying in places.
Cheryl Helm in fact, at 6 feb 2013, before this last show, she tweetted: "My bones hurt from all the shows But I dont feel the pain cuz Im a pro I sink in then Im ok cuz my body belongs to u when Im on stage". I think she always knew she was broken but she don't wanted to face it, or she wanted to make us happy.

I suffered from Sinovitis as well (the illness from the hip), it’s so painful to watch her perform and dance, you can see the pain on her face during some songs. I admire her for this, because I understand the pain she was going trough, for keep going even with the pain in the hip.
