  • In this Fusion 180 / Fusion 180 Smart repair tutorial, Ethan Ater will be showing the correct procedure in replacing the tail boom [BLH5812] and tail control rod guide [BLH5811]. One thing to keep in mind when working with small helicopters is that the screws do not require as much torque as those on bigger helicopters. Install with a small amount of torque after the screw starts to feel tight.

    Thanks for video. When reinstalling tail boom how do you know if you have sufficient tension on the belt

      Great question! One way to ensure that there is sufficient tension on the tail belt is to apply a small amount of pressure on the belt where it almost reaches the Front Belt Pulley [BLH5807] with a small driver. There should only be a small amount of movement (a couple mm) in the belt when applying pressure to it.
