It could have been averted had they not thrown away the child. I’m sure he never knew they were his parents.
You are very correct. Thank you for watching ❤️
Interesting story
Please what do you use in generating this image
Maybe it could have been averted.
And maybe the situation that would have brought the fulfillment of prophesies taken a different path.
@@AfricanTalesByReby: It could have probably been the case of Murphy's law i.e. "what will go wrong will go wrong"!
This shows that do not allow your fears to take over. Had they kept their son, and raised him as normal, this would never have happened. Being raised in the palace with his parents, and by his parents, he would have grown to be a different man. ThIs prophecy would never have come to pass. It was their own decision, out of their own fear, that brought about the events that causeed him to grow into the man he became that caused events to unfold into the dreaded prophecy. The other lesson is do not put your faith in fortune tellers and so called seers..the future is not written in stone and there are many futures that can come about because of our actions in the present.
No one can stop destiny I learn alot from this story
I agree. Thanks for watching ❤️

The gods are not to blame
Amazing 🤩 story
The gods are not to be blamed
This story reminds me of the play edopus rex
Thanks for watching ❤️
Oedipus was born to King Laius and Queen Jocasta of Thebes. Laius wished to thwart the prophecy, so he sent a shepherd-servant to leave Oedipus to die on a mountainside. However, the shepherd took pity on the baby and passed him to another shepherd who gave Oedipus to King Polybus and Queen Merope to raise as their own. Oedipus learned from the oracle at Delphi of the prophecy that he would end up killing his father and marrying his mother but, unaware of his true parentage, believed he was fated to murder Polybus and marry Merope, and so he left for Thebes. On his way, he met an older man and killed him in a quarrel. Continuing on to Thebes, he found that the king of the city (Laius) had recently been killed and that the city was at the mercy of the Sphinx. Oedipus answered the monster's riddle correctly, defeating it and winning the throne of the dead king - and the hand in marriage of the king's widow, who was also (unbeknownst to him) his mother Jocasta.
Thanks so much for watching ❤️

The story of Oedipus
Old story "THE GOD'S ARE NOT TO BE BLAMED"
Thanks for watching ❤️
Why did the king die for real the GODS are not to blame👌💞❤💙❤❤
This tale allows suggests that free will does not exist
I can't help but wonder if the king and queen had raised the child as their own and taught him well and told him about the prophecy. Giving him a chance to make the decision for himself would he have made the same choice
But now the spirits cursed him for something that he did not know and he didn't make the choice to kill his own father and sleep with his mother he was a worrier and a conqere of land that is how kingdoms were conqered back in the day
The spirits were unfair in this case they robed the boy of his freewill
Punishment should not exist without freewill
This story is OEDIPUS REX in the western culture but in African Tale THE GODS ARE NOT TO BLAME
Why would he kill his own father 🤨😞🧐
