What an amazing talent. For those that don’t know, she was born with eye cancer and life didn’t get much kinder. Despite so much suffering, she still lit the world up with magnificent humour. RIP Sweet Caroline.
@@HarryBarryGary Not too sweet to her husband Peter Hook who she physically abused during their marriage, but yeah we shall gloss over all that because a man was the victim and not a woman. But yeah, sweet Caroline.

What a brilliant woman. Royle family is still one of my all time favourite comedies. Can’t believe we’ll never get to see a new stuff from Caroline, she was so talented and brought joy to my heart in everything she did

Some good observations. Reminds me a lot of most American comedians who don't have exceptional -or often even above average material-, but their character, stage presence and delivery just somehow make it work.

Some of the current so called comedians ( male and female ) should watch this and learn . Brilliant delivery and timing . Caroline Aherne was different class .
When Caroline and Craig Cash created "The Royle Family", one of the VERY BEST TV comedies of all time was born. In my view of the last 20 years, only "The League of Gentlemen" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm" are on the same inaccessible par. I LOVE you, Caroline. You will not be forgotten ... and thanks to you, Carl, for this precious upload.
The one and unique Caroline Aherne, I watch you over and over and never fail to crease up laughing....your legendary natural intelligence and professional humour will live forever
I almost cracked a rib watching one episode of Mrs Murton. The most I've ever laughed in my life and doubt will ever do so again. She was just naturally funny.
True although not much competition. I've seen Jo Brand hundreds of times on TV and never laughed once. Sara Milligan is just like any common and dumb girl you'd meet in any pub in the North of England.
That's the clever bit though, it was a routine - it was all carefully written and scripted; it was her delivery that made it seem so natural and improvised.
Mrs Merton and Royle Family are 2 of the funniest shows to be made. You never hear her mentioned much but she was such a big part of my childhood. Fast Show as well. Miss her!
I loved the bit about she likes it when you're driving on a main road and you let someone in from a side road and they give you a little thank-you wave . . . ,'So if I've got nothing to do in the afternoon, I go out and drive along main roads and let people in.'
Such an awkwardly cute and funny persona she created in her act. Takes courage to not just do jokes and go in a different creative direction (and succeed in it).
I was shocked when I heard the news of Carolines death back in the day, along with Victoria Wood, it was heartbreaking to lose two of the finest Comediennes Britain has ever produced, both Northern legends.
She was a genius. I've been watching lots of videos of her in the last few weeks. This is unusual as she didn't do much stand up as herself - it seems she had a nose job at some point - and the blond hair really suited her. Thanks for uploading this. RIP.
Totally unique, a very special and wonderful person. A rare talent that sadly left us decades too soon. Just like this weekend we lost another comedic genius and kind soul.

@@martinworld7214 The thing is that because some people find her funny and relate to her TV work, they automatically take her side in an issue of domestic abuse which they don't have any clue about the guilt of the partners on either side.
