Why Training Without Gloves is Beneficial

  • Have you ever punched the bag without gloves on and your wrist buckles?
    Gloves give fighters a false sense of security. Most of us punch wrong because we have the padding for our knuckles AND wrist support. When you take the gloves off, you're forced to re learn how to punch without them on, strengthening your wrist (and knuckles) which lessens injuries.
    Training without gloves also makes it more difficult to block and parry opponents punches. there is more room between your arms and head for opponents punches to slip through-this helps sharpening your vision and precision with parrying and blocking punches.

    My try this when my knuckle fully heals. Messed it up about a month ago hitting the pads

      Won't take long for another injury to appear when you leave the most important safety equipment out. That's exactly why you don't do that.
