Cute batwing top! Thanks for sharing your photos at the end. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such colorful fungi.

I have that batwing pattern but haven't made it. Yours is so nice, I might give it a try. The bat stories gave me the chills. Poor Chris. The quilt is beautiful. Someday you will find the perfect place for it. Enjoy your sewing day.

Hi Carole, your batwing top is really nice, It fits very nice and I like the fact that it is longish but can be worn by shifting the hem up. Your finished quilt is brilliant and it was a project worth saving and finishing. Wonderful photos of the mushrooms. I have seen a few in my local park recently but I imagine that the flooding has washed them away now. Look forward to seeing you next week, have a good weekend 🙂

Hi Carole, love that batwing top, very flattering on. Great idea on that pencil pouch. We all have screens on our windows, so that thing with the bat would never happen, we have bats that fly around in the evening catching mosquitoes, so i don’t mind them all that much. I love those mushroom 🍄 pictures, I really like the long skinny ones. Have a great weekend 😊

Hi Carole! The pencil pouch was a “Happy Accident!” You haven’t changed a bit in seven years. I love the batwing top. You have wonderful plans as always… I love the PJ fabric.
Poor Chris… I would have feelings about bats… if I had been through what he has. Hopefully your batwing top won’t be distressing 😊
I love the mushrooms… the red with white spots are my favorite. The yellow (your favorite) are the most unusual I’ve seen. Have a great weekend. ❤ Diann

You did a wonderful job on the quilt top! One of my goals is to make a quilt! Your batwing top looks so cozy! I love the fabric! Poor Chris! 🦇 Some of the mushrooms I had never seen before! So pretty! Have a good week! ❤️🥰

Poor Chris 😮I would have a fear of bats if that had happened to me. Love the batwing top at first I thought of the problem of the cardigan but could put a top or t shirt underneath but the fabric is beautiful. Enjoy your weekend sewing

Love your Batwing top and the length to do as you like with is so flattering and practical for your mood of the day. Use and display your finished quilt as a throw over the seat you were on , for the world to see 😂. Once again your photos at the end are beautiful, clear and interesting. You said that you wash your pouches, do they turn inside out easily to do so, bat stories 😂😂 enjoy your sewing week, regards Diana from NZ 🎉❤🎉🐸🐸

That bat wing top is so fun. I just purchased a top like that and I really like it. I was thinking about laying it out on my table and making a pattern from it. An uninterrupted day of sewing, how lovely. Can't wait to see what you make. Your quilt is gorgeous. I am sure the right baby will come along that needs a quilt just like that one. I made a hoodie dress for my granddaughter this week. She is always cold, so she can wear it with leggings and keep warm this winter. I love mushroom time. Your photos are always so beautiful. I love the red and white ones. One of my kids is taking a costume class at college and he is helping me clean out some of my fabric. So far he made a linen shirt and a pair of pajama pants. Next he is really challenging himself and making a suit jacket. He was able to find a free Vogue pattern and I found a large piece of suitable black fabric in my stash. He will only need to purchase the interfacing and lining fabric. It will be really fun to see him tackle this project. Thanks for sharing. I am hoping to make the oven mitts this weekend.

Happy Autumn, Carole! I so look forward to your bi-weekly sewing videos. They are the highlight of my Friday morning coffee time. 🥰 Really like your bat-wing top. A bit different for you and very, very flattering. Great make, Carole!!! Thanks for explaining and showing video of the top ruching. Until seeing it, I assumed it was a sewn on band at the bottom of the bodice. Yes, very flattering feature. Poor Chris! I can picture him jumping around his office trying to get the bat back out the window while on a video conference call. 🤣 Always enjoy your photography at the end of your videos. My weekly dose of nature and world travel, compliments of Carole! 💗xx Dori

Oh Carole, if I could meet with you in person, I could tell you the most hilarious bat story. 😂 Chris would thoroughly enjoy it. I'm not a fan of batwing tops, but the tight cuffs and ruched bottom really elevate them to the next level. They look great on you! ❤ Bernadette

Another great video - your story about the bats is scary but yet funny. He’s a magnet for the bats 🤣. The mushroom photos are beautiful/you should frame some of them. That last photo looks like a stingray 😂😂. I love a good knit top pattern!!!

Hi Carole, your batwing top is lovely. Well done with the quilt , it looks great. I think I would donate it back to charity now if you cant find a use for it! Poor Chris having 2 experiences with bats.
    Enjoy your weekend.

No reason for apologizing for having a TNT for pjs. I am anxious for your video on making a wet bag. My daughter asked for one this summer. I enjoyed the fungi. I can’t believe how they vary and are so beautiful. We just have boring ones in the central United States.

What an interesting assortment of mushrooms, Carole! I love the fabric you used for your batwing top.You and I like many of the same things, but for myself, batwing tops, won't be an addition to my closet. I'm still catching up on some of the videos I missed while on vacation last month and I saw the pictures of your trip to the US. When were you in Wash. DC? I was also there, for a week, in mid August. It would have been so amazing if I'd had the chance to meet you. Maybe another time. In March my husband and I are celebrating our 40th Anniversary in the UK! I know, it's not an ideal weather time to be in the UK, but I'm combining the trip so I can attend a sewing retreat which is being held at Coombe Abbey, not too far from Birmingham I believe. Then we will make our way into London. Along the way I hope to meet up with a couple of other TH-cam sewing influencers I admire. Are you anywhere near the 2 places? Just a thought. Have a wonderful, quiet (no interruptions) day of sewing (and quilting 😉) this weekend. Thanks for keeping me company this morning!

Hi Carole!! I so look forward to our chats! Love the batwing top - it looks cozy and it fits perfectly! You are so good at balancing making things for family and for yourself ❤ Yay for mushroom season! That red one 🍄looked huge- like some smurfs would be under there😂 Did you guys have smurfs in the Uk in the 80’s? Their houses were 🍄‍🟫 mushrooms 😂. For the pjs- how do you keep cuffs from being too tight? Have a fun weekend!!!❤❤❤xx

Carole, I agree totally about the cuffs on the pj trousers. I hate nighties as I end up with the whole thing wrapped around me. I really look forward to your videos. It's like I'm having a chat, albeit one-sided, with a friend. Strange isn't it. You have thousands of friends. I'm in the process of making the Live Notions Rhapsody blouse with short sleeves for summer here in Sydney. It's a woven with lots of bias binding around the neck, neither of which are in my comfort zone. I loved your batwing top too, much nicer than the original one. 🤩

I am sure your mum will be happy with the skirt - from my own experience, pleas3 check if lurex is not catching anything on the inside of the skirt - I destroyed tons of tights wearing a dress with lurex thread that didn't had a lining
