MGE’s Tyto Solar

Madison Gas and Electric’s (MGE) 6-megawatt Tyto Solar project in Fitchburg, Wis., came online in February 2024 to serve all MGE electric customers with cost-effective, carbon-free energy.
Tyto Solar is a distributed energy resource that is connected to MGE’s distribution system. The generating facility is another step toward achieving MGE’s goals of 80% reduced carbon emissions by 2030 (from 2005 levels) and net-zero carbon electricity by 2050.
