  • Very quick and easy alcohol ink bouquet where we layer lots of juicy pigmented inks, draw with a fun new device and just have fun
    Materials:
    Yupo 11x14
    99% isopropyl alcohol
    Ranger Inks:
    Fiesta
    Pink Sherbert
    Wild Plum
    Boysenberry
    Gumball
    India ink
    CaliArt Alcohol ink Markers

    Love the boysenberry. Such a fun color. Love all the colors actually. I’m new to all of this so I’m soaking up all I can. The inks fascinate me.

      I love boysenberry as well. That and wild plum. So rich and saturated.

    The layering of all the colours used is so beautiful. If you wanted a paler version, say in soft pinks and corals I wonder if you could dilute your paints with alcohol before dropping them on the paper.? I would like to try a soft background colour first.

      Thank you so much! I've been adding soft backgrounds to most of my paintings lately. I just rub it in really well and it seems to work fine. Yes, diluting with alcohol makes the ink somewhat paler or I've also been mixing inks together to create the color I want. Still exploring that.
