They are not daily trainers and they are not racing shoes but they are 'Super Trainers'. I think this is nothing but a phantom category created by these brands to make consumers believe they are actually getting something different than other daily trainers while paying ultra premium. It's a non-plated shoe that costs 220$ and meanwhile you could get a plated racing super foam shoe from Puma for 140$. Price sets expectations and this shoe gotta be the king of all the daily trainers because daily trainers were already 'do it all' shoe before this shoe came along.

I totally agree. I can pay $5 more and train and race in Endorphin Pro 3. An Endorphin Speed 3 can be used for multiple purposes (easy, tempo, long run) and is still $50 cheaper ($170). If you need a recovery shoe/easy shoe NB FF More v4 is $150 ($70 less than Superblast). If it has to be ASICS and long training, ASICS Glideride 3 is great shoe at $150 ($70 less). In a decent rotation it is hard to place this shoe.

I used the SB2 the other day 5k (ran the end of the race more downhill towards the end) but managed to beat my VF3 5k pb by 5 seconds with a lower average HR too. The legs felt great afterwards, plus its more of a walking around shoe than Nike VF. Impressed ❤

Thank you, thank you. The funny looks I get when I tell people my Prime x shoes are for recovery. Regarding neuropathy: I have less since training in the supershoes. Not full blown neuropathy to start, mainly irritation/sensitivity as a result of 70+ age and 70K+ miles of running lifetime.

Out of curiosity and laziness I have been using my Vaporfly for easy run. Amazing.

I have my Alphafly v1 for many easy runs. Even my other “super” or race shoes for easy runs and felt fine to me.

Isn't the purpose of training to work muscle. IMO the purpose should be easing the strain on the muscles for 1 recovery day.
