That was a new Audi model, the Audi QE2!!!
😂 - Deserved more likes.
lol
Very sharp 🤣🤣
Not many TH-cam channels that use CoPart that don’t have similar issues, I would guess CoPart have so much volume they find it difficult to handle the cars correctly, shame
Bmw s line
Copart really need to up their game! Even non selective honest pictures would be a good start.
Trouble is, they seem to have a monopoly now... and we all know what happens when companies become a monopoly.
They are gangsters and a lot of the people they employ are thieves.
Boys, gravel rash yes, but also the new motorway concrete central crash barriers can do similar to that if the cops did a pinch manoeuvre to stop them…
Get chris to purchase a telehandler be a god send for you guys ,,, I can never understand why they don’t fix some thick rubber on the forks ,would stop lots of unnecessary damage to the underside,,, keep up the good work 👍
Them wheels are awful for such a high priced car it looks like BMW have bought them from Halfords 😂
Totally agree. Let it down big style, like so many designs nowadays.
@@andymurdoch1346 looks like something you'd see on a fiesta ecoboooooost with a pop and bang map flying round Mcdonalds carpark
They're actually missing the plastic trims that go over them. Similar to how Tesla do their alloys on the base spec cars
@@craighorton6387 Pop and bang map, brilliant 🙂
Rob is a lovely guy but when he takes a position I wouldn’t argue with him! 😁
proud of you rob, the more people complain, the worse their public image, the quicker they will start behaving in an honest manner - we hope...
keep it up chaps
That Audi's been a submarine too long....
😂
😝😂👌👍
Comedy gold
Went to buy a horse and came back with a donkey...
I think it's not dust from forensics but dust from all the airbags deploying
Rob if we can see them labels on your camera then they would show perfectly on a photograph. Copart obviously have an obligation to the insurance companies to get as much as they can for the salvage and in return they get all the salvage cars to sell at an extortionate buyers fee. Then the insurance companies can charge an extra fee to insure a categorised vehicle. It’s all a massive stitch up. The very least they can do is give an accurate description and decent pics. The jobs hard enough.
Copart really need to lift their game. They need to put 4k pictures of all panels and highlight any damage. Copart is like a lottery/gamble at the moment. Run and drive listings that have no clutch and listed on a sticker “non runner” on collection.
I love how your optimism paves the way. You two are a firm fixture in my daily life. 😊
I think you are right about the BMW being stolen and I hope they got the 'toe rags'. The car might need a full respray with all the little scratches and dents but that is a way off yet. It does look like a nice car beyond the damage though. Well done for cracking on and removing the airbags and Seat belts Rob they will have them fixed and back to you in no time. I think you will do alright out of it with regards to profit despite some parts being expensive. Thank you Rob and Chris for bringing us another video from SRUK. 👍👍
The answer is of course is not to use Copart
You so right.
Crooks
This is what I don't get.
I watch another couple of channels similar to this and there seems to be a recurring theme whereby Copart either don't disclose, or cunningly avoid photographing additional damage on the vehicles they auction. Why do people, who are trying to run a used car business, keep using Copart to source their stock? Surely there are alternatives? Even private buying "Spares or Repairs" motors off eBay would seem to be less prone to such chicanery.
@@vlotaprivate buys are worse!
If you’re running a good repair business from mainly Copart salvage and making several hundred thousand a year in profits you certainly WOULD continue using Copart! Get a grip people!
Cracking content with these premium motors, it’s what we all want 👌
You seem to be having more and more problems with Copart - perhaps they are struggling and trying to get big bucks for undisclosed rubbish? You guys deserve better....
I don’t think Copart are trying to be dishonest or pull a fast one, I just think they aren’t achieving the level of competence that they used to…
Copart big scam always take pictures far away aswell from the sticker on the window were it states x c i
@@philtucker1224.. it's almost as if some clowns are moving them around and thinking it's f*cked anyway another few dents won't make any difference
@@philtucker1224 not like theyre known for pulling a fast one. oh wait.
@@philtucker1224how can you say they’re not trying to pull a fast one when the car had stickers saying mould and flood damage but they fail to mention that in the listing?
love Rob's passion, pleas don't fret about a wee bit of negativity Rob, it must be infuriating, as a team mate Chris always brings it round with a few well grounded comments.
It’s nice that BMW is becoming more user/repair friendly again had a 1970s 2002 yrs ago easier to repair than any ford of that time period. Such a nice car Gentlemen can’t wait to hear it roar to life. It won’t be long
Rob, for all it’s faults it’s a very nice car. The X1 used to be built on the new Mini frame and parts, but this model looks much bigger. Still a good catch!
Totally enjoyed this one looking forward to following it through. Copart need to set a couple of site staff rules, do not cut air bags, take photos of any warning notices. They should put the car on provisional until the purchaser has passed and accepted it. Better still, Re introduce pre auction inspections for customers that have history of more than 5 purchase’s
Water washer bottle looks ok so i think you will be ok😁
The forensic dust is in fact aluminium powder.
Don’t rub it with a dry cloth, warm soapy water and a soft cloth will clear it.
Yes forensic fingerprint dust 👍
From the airbag deployment yes
Yes airbag dust sticking to oily finger prints
@@timbo19751975 no it’s not airbag dust
I love the technical term for the wheel’s state. That wheel is absolutely knackered. No better description
Good evening Rob and Chris, another very interesting video. Copart are not doing themselves any favours with their working practices. Looking forward to seeing how this all ends up. Thank you for taking the time to upload another video. Ged
You get the impression that the people that work in the salvage auction industry hate the idea that someone is trying to repair them?
I get the impression that the people who are moving these cars around don't care about them or the fact that someone is going to buy them and repair them.
I shouldn’t think so otherwise Copart wouldn’t have a salvage industry!!
This Beemer is going to be a lovely car, I'm looking forward to watching you guys fixing it up!
Top work chaps and amazing positivity even with all that nonsense! 👍
Thats somebody's dream car, lovely motor lads, another great recycling job by Rob and Chris ❤❤🇮🇪🇮🇪
Loving your hands on approach giving great insight on how to fix these newer BMW cars. Great to see a removable dash top, about time BMW, other car manufacturers note! Really had a hard time this vehicle, insurance on a hair trigger to write it off. It will be a lovely motor once you guys have worked your magic on it. 👍🇬🇧😎
The answer is of course is not to use Copart.
Synetiq ain’t much better. Very clever with the pictures
They seem to have a monopoly in the UK now and they also seem to be the "go-to" for the insurance companies.
What's the alternative? Viewers palming off knackered Corsas?
This is the problem with co part. The flood damage should have been seen. But the bmw is a piss take. Just because it’s crashed doesn’t mean the drivers can bang them up even more. Very frustrating for you guys. Keep
Up the good work 👍🏻
Nice purchase lads, looking forward to watching Chris have a go at fixing the roof, bloody hard things to repair to a high standard. Cheers for the content.
Rob and Chris a lovely car you and Chris will do a great job ❤
Lovely bit of salvage boys! 👍
Great content as usual, this beats any tv show. Cheers gentleman 👍
Great work lads
Lovely motor chaps. Can’t wait to see it finished.
Great content, roberto and chris
I own a 2023 X3, super car, really puts a smile on my face whenever I drive it
Great video as always boy's. Makes my day when i see the notification come up. Cheers.
brave move guys!! nice work
As always a massive 👍 from me, best on TH-cam guys.
Hi Rob and Chris, Audi was obviously mis advertised, what a shame there was added roof damage to the BMW, and the airbags cut out..!! Bit of a challenge but you guy's will sort. .looking forward to watching this one. Alex.
Well done Chris and rob
Nice looking car, cant wait to see how it goes!
Brilliant as always guys 👍🏻🇬🇧
Brew and a salvage rebuilds video, perfect for the pre dinner cooking time of day. Enjoy the rest of your week lads
Hi guys, watching this from France where I live, nice bottle of St. Emilion, can’t think of anything better to be doing. 😊👍
Lovely car that Rob good job you are on the ball with that Audi looking forward to seeing the next video 👌
Lots of work ahead but you will return the BM back to its former glory. It will be a valuable car once it is A1 again. Another great video from the best channel on You Tube!
Best of luck with all the ongoing projects on the channel great content 👍👍👍
Wow nice model and look forward to seeing this fixed
Just enjoyed this update as always. Rob - you may or may not know and not wanting to tell my granny how to suck eggs the locking wheel nut's location may be as follows. Lift the tailgate and pull the left hand rear side panel cover off. Underneath the yellow hazard waistcoat you may find a locking wheel nut staring at you. Sorry if you know all that but thought it is worth a mention. Great videos and your both a pleasure to watch. Best regards to you and Chris.
Great BMW looking forward to following its rebirth!👍👍👍
Looks like a split on the steering wheel. Possibly when they cut the air bag on the steering wheel.
Great video as always..👍👍
The SOCO will have cut out the drivers side bags for DNA - DNA on blown airbags is great evidence because it identifies who was driving at the time of the accident - ask me how i know. Oh, the fail to start might be a fuel cutoff in the event of a crash, there used to be reset buttons in the boot.
You guys are like car archaeologists, uncovering layer after layer of hidden problems. Hope you find the treasure (a working car) at the end! ⛏
Another great video guys
Curtain airbag drivers side and steering wheel bag cut out by soco for any DNA.. to maybe prove who was in drivers seat at the time of crash..... another great video lads
wow what a lovely looking bmw can't wait to see how it turns out once it's all done and its a shame about the audi but atleast you got all your money back as that's terrible it wasn't described properly can't wait to see what's next on the channel keep them coming guys 👍👍👍💯💯💯💯
Great content, did I hear you say you could repack the airbags.
Lovely motor 👍👍
Rob nice chatting with you. Had been waiting for this video 🙂
You boys have got a big return to look forward to on the BM. 🎉
That part when Rob said let's get on the phone my Hart sang for him glad it worked out tho lads great content as usual and so much information with the key and all the prices pucka
Brilliant content guys!keep it up😅
Cheers fellas 🧇
Completely off-topic, but a bit of advice from a retired sound engineer... upside-down is better for a body-worn microphone! You don't get the marked variation in level as you move your head... watch the telly, and you'll see a lot of presenters have their tieclip mics upside down!!
Brilliant boys👍🏻👌🏻
Looking forward to deeing the bext video!! Excellent video as always, hope all is well, take care
Very Nice BMW X1
Copart are some shifty dudes by the sounds of it Rob blimey ! Glad you put your foot down with them fairs fair ! I have a 2.0L X drive version new x1 it’s a really nice little car that’ll be nice when you’ve done it 👍
Just shows you the money in salvage vehicles you wonder wot actual damage was done after accident damage i must admit i have the fear when i see the cars getting forked on/off great team work rob works like a ferret inside the interior chris is just a wizard
Nice car that, I like the big grill front end. Will imagine a 2wd late bmw suv will be a very easy sell. Looking forward to the finished job. Great video as ever chaps. Thankyou👍
Mint video 📹 as usual fellas shame about the audi it looked in a lot better condition than this one copart is definitely getting worse for not showing the bigger picture on the bright side you and Chris are just the boys to get it back to its former glory 😊. Stay lucky and healthy 👍 looking forward to Sundays video 📹 as usual 😊❤
Well done sorting that flood damaged Audi, shame it looked a descent motor. Spotted the ding in the bonnet when loading.
I think that roof damage is from it being on its side, not from a transporter. It probably got held upright by a tree or something
That was a shame what they have done to that
But we know Chris will work his magic as normal and well done Rob you made that look effortless how quick you stripped the interior
Looking forward to seeing the next one 👍
Great video. Might be waffle but very interesting waffle. Look forward to Sunday. Keep it up chaps 👍🏻👍🏻
Just to tell you BMW changed their bolt pattern a few years ago, it use to be 5x120 now it’s 5x112, if you ever need to use another wheel on these new bmws try an audi or Mercedes wheel they have 5x112. Have a good one guys
The big problem is as buying shifted to online, using that company's information, you are not inspecting the vehicles in person so can truly evaluate them.
Great video nice car 👍👍👍
What is now Copart used to be USA Salvage when I lived in Thanet. USA were well known for being iffy, auctioning all kinds of broken crap. Nice to hear they refunded you without question.
I always used to go to BCA in Paddock Wood, a much better, honest out fit. I bought 44 cars in 2 years from BCA, only 2 were a problem, both Nissan Bluebirds and had been clocked (taxis), I proved it, they didn't question it, refunded me on both vehicles. I kind of miss those days.
What a shame about that Audi Rob 😢 But water damage must be an absolute nightmare 😮 So a good call sending it back Rob 👍🏻 That Beamer is a big mess but nothing to worry about when you guys are on it 👍🏻
Probably for 5k but not for a “clean” 9k car!
I was wondering whether you were going to tackle a flood damaged car sometime. There must be a lot of them about after the winter we have had. They seem popular to US salvage guys.
Looks like a really nice car shame parts are going to be so expensive but can’t wait to see the finish job
Copart, the baggage handlers of the automotive industry
What a mess!
It’s going to be a heap of work, but you chaps are up to the task.
Hello Rob and Chris, that first car was a bit too much damage as it was very flooded.this BMW is looking a nice car and the mileage is very low.great progress so far.
Thank goodness! - it’s Wednesday! 😁
Another cracking purchase lads. It's very frustrating that they keep cutting those air bags, especially when they can be recharged and reused.
It would have been interesting to see that flood damaged car fixed provided the engine was working
Rob, my second cousin is the Jaguar NZ, CFO.😊
I feel your pain, you could write a book on recovering late model cars from Copart.😮
So glad your treated well by BMW staff😂
Wish you & Chris well on giving this car its deserved second chance at life ❤
Fair play to them for giving you your money back on the Audi , they should have also offered you another Audi if it’s not that bad!
Copart need to up their game a bit,
The bmw is going to take a bit of your time but should turn out very nice
Beautiful beemer Rob, will be a fantastic car when it's had the S R touch❤ shame about that audi Rob would be a full interior out to clean ton of work
Fantastic video guys.
Nice BMW for Chris to play with......(Chris bodywork Video yeah!!!!!) shame about the submarine.
Cheers guys
Really enjoyed this one. Interesting about your keyfob replacement bmw instead of Ayden
I don't care for type of cars here but the good show makes up for it.
Think the auction people were great taking the car back, you were on your toes there Rob, think you will be ok with the x1; well done to you both
Copart had to take it back, this was missold, if they could have got away with it they would have
Am sure you will make a lovely job of this
Makes you wonder Rob if you didn't have a massive TH-cam channel, would they be so helpful.
From speaking to several friends who are car dealers (but with no major YT presence) I can confirm that they aren't usually so 'accomodating'!
