Hey everyone! Today's song is one that's very personal to me. I wrote this song about surviving my attempt when my wife left me last year, and it's about how I felt afterwards. Very alone even when surrounded by people and caught somewhere between being too tired to keep trying but also to stubborn to give up again, but what I love about this song is, in the few times I've performed it in public, someone has almost always come to me and told me a story of their own that allowed them to relate to the lyrics in some way or another. Sometimes I'd hear that they were a solider who came home from war, other times they were a gang member who got out but was never looked at the same, or a recovered drug/alcohol addict who always felt like a pariah even after getting clean, and all these people from all these walks of life still related to my lyrics all the same, and that's a powerful feeling. So I hope you enjoy it as well.
