    Amazing pawn shop find, I didn't think anything worthwhile could be found in a pawn shop anymore. The instruments that we have here in Chicago at pawn shops are complete garbage. Glad you found something really nice.

    Hello Jimmy, I have owned so many guitars over the years ranging from Martin high end such as a 75th Hank sr. birthday commentative, a Doyle Dykes Talor signature guitar. Also, Gibson, Guild, Jose Ramirez, Fender etc... I have also tried many low-end guitars. What I have found is the name or where it was built does not matter. Even the best manufacturers have guitars that don't sound so well and also need to be set for a particular style of play or preference. I have some inexpensive guitars that sounded great and some very expensive guitars that sounded of less quality that what I paid for them. I'm glad that you took a chance with this guitar and had an open mind, and also glad that you knew what to do to take care of a minor problem for a reasonable price. A majority of large manufacturers have moved their operation overseas and they have the same CNC laths and program the same data as we do here in the USA. The tone woods are the same and as with any instrument, you take a chance buying sight unseen or un-played more importantly. I don't worry about any of the haters and don't care if they like the brand that I choose to use. What matters is the reaction you get from your audience or personal taste for tone and response from the guitar that you play. Good for you and you have a great sounding guitar. Maybe not the best, but what normal guy can afford 25.000 for a guitar that you gig with or just play around the house. When people pay so much, they are scared to play it because it might get a scratch. I want one that I can play anywhere and try to wear it out. Have a great time with your cool looking and sounding guitar.

    I've seen these and laminate models (ecactly the same except no brand inlay on the headstock for about $350) on eBay. I'm not that patriotic or rich enough when it comes to solid wood guitars. How can I be sure I get the one you have. I own 10 guitars and still suffer from abalone deficiency! I hear all the bitching about too much bling. I want to see just one of those people turn down the Millionth Martin. Look it up, she's a beauty!! Thanks for the post!!

      Zuwei has a page. Hit them up on Facebook chat they will give you info if you give them a serial number. Plus the Solid wood ones are around 700 Bucks and the ads statr solid wood. I was Lucky to find one I'm the local Pawn shop. I was too skeptical to buy one Blind. But now I would.

      I've owned 2 different D-45's on a D-45V from 1984 with Brazilian back and sides. Two different D-41's and currently won a 2005 D-42. The "Too Much Bling" complainers would kill for any of those. All fantastic

      Those solid Zuwei parlors look very nice and all the reviews praised them.
      My oldest dearest friend of 45 years is a luthier. He's got 17 Martin's. I've played them all. I can't remember all the models but there's a matched set (000 & 00) of 1927 12 fret and matched set of 1941 mahogany. A Bellezza Bianca, D45, D42, D41. Assorted vintage O18s & 28s. The real prize is a New York made Martin with the original coffin case, somewhere pre Civil War. Martin is authenticating it as I write this. Thanks for getting back to me, I really appreciate it!👍🎸

      I don't have a link for Zwuei. I got lucky and found this at a pawn shop. You best bet to go to eBay and type in Zwuei Guitars in the search.

    I personally hate all the "bling" on these Chinese guitars offered on Ebay. Overkill to me. To each his own. And do these Chinese guitars really sound all that good? And my other observation has to do with how "few" videos there are on TH-cam of these guitars. If they were that amazing, you would think tons of people would be buying them and raving about them via social media.

    • @jimmyfranklin3862
      @jimmyfranklin3862  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      That's because there's not alot of these out there. I was thinking of buy a couple Martin's that were limited ones. One Being a HJ-28-M fantastic guitar. No Videos on TH-cam. Zero. Why weren't there a ton videos "Raving" about it? Only 50 built That's why. If you're gonna use social media to determine how good your Guitar is gonna be...well you might be disappointed or you may miss out on a good one.

    You cant play all of thst bling,and it dosent make the instrument play or sound any better than what it is. The bridge was lifting,the fretts needed dressed and reset,and it needed a set up. For all the cheaper guitars that a person would buy over the years they might as well had spent good money on a boutique guitar.

      Hi John, I was considering one of these from Ebay. Are your comments from one that you bought and ended up having to fix all these things to make it playable ? or did you have a hands on with the guitar in the video. Thanks.

      I've got a little over 500 into it. Well worth it. I've got very expensive guitars and still play this one. The fact it's all solid wood, with real Abolone and now has a proper set up, makes it more bang for the buck then alot Guitars at that price point.
