If you’re looking for more Amorphis, I would recommend Amongst Stars, it features Anneke. 😊 and honestly, I think you’d love Amorphis’s catalogue.

This and "The Bee" are my favourites of Amorphis. In these times when most of the Top 10 Hit Singles barely last more than 2 minutes, I love these 5-6 minutes music pieces with genre variations inside of them. Some of the Amorphis' songs have some progressive rock vibes and that is what originally got me interested in to their music! 😊

IMO David Grohl wish he could sing as good as Tomi Joutsen. Not many artists period, no matter what genre has this growl depth accompanied by such smooth and clean vocals. Tomi’s vocals are absolutely outstanding!

It’s more melodic death metal/progressive metal. They’ve been around forever and touched on many sub genres.

Shukran! Perhaps I can suggest a good cross-over song to react to: Amorphis featuring Anneke van Giersbergen in "Among stars". A beautiful mash-up of vocal styles in a cleverly crafted song. Keep up the good work, and hope you're keeping well.

Might Have smtg to do with this: "Leaders of the pack are Finland and Sweden, coloured with the hottest shade of red. With 2,825 metal bands listed in the Encyclopaedia Metallum, the figure for Finland works out to 54.3 bands per 100,000 Finns (for a total of 5.2 million inhabitants [2]). " Couldn't put a link but you find it easily by googling with those Lines

Awesome reaction as always. Things are a bit rough right now so I haven't been around much but I hope you're doing well. Haven't listened to Amorphis yet but now i'm going to have to quite possibly check out more now.

Thank you for the reaction! Amorphis is always good and depending of album it varies between the amount of harsh vocals. If you wan to check finnish metal sang in finnish try maybe Stam1na or Mokoma?

This genre would be Melo-death (Melodic death metal) Kind of in the same bucket as Amon Amarth and Kalmah, except they don't have clean vocals (Kalmah have occasionally).

"Middle-eastern vibes"? If you want middle-eastern vibes, check out Melechesh - "Multiple Truths". They classify themselves as Assyrian Black Metal.
