When I was 13 year old when i first play Black Ops 1,my heart was so broken after Dimitri Petrenko dies for nothing and the Question that Reznov asks Mason about this still stuck on my head for 6 Years. "Mason my friend, tell me.. What is left to believe in when you are betrayed by your own".
Well the campaign is back in the new modern warfare and it seems like its going to be great given that ign hated it and said it was too violent thats exactly what we want I then knew that the new modern warfare is going to be incredible

One that everyone seems to not know or mention is Reznov being “John Trent”. If you login to Hudson’s email, you will see a guy named “John Trent” sending him messages about Mason and Vorkuta. “John Trent” would use quotes that Reznov has said before such as “a single step”, “Victory cannot be achieved without sacrifice”, and so on. The last message to Hudson was “please tell Mason one thing, this time it’s freedom for both of us”. This refers to what Reznov said to Mason when Mason last saw him and only Reznov would know about this. This means that Reznov did escape Vorkuta and was elsewhere when the events of BO1 took place. The Reznov we see after Vorkuta is still a hallucination but Reznov was still alive after Vorkuta. Of course, he’s most likely dead by the time BO2 takes place and is for sure, dead in the 2025 era but he still could’ve survived BO1.

The death certificates could’ve just been fake. As to why he couldn’t work with Mason? I don’t think he’d want to work with the CIA/American since he was a communist. Also, it surprises Dragovich, Kravchenko, and steiner better and they relied on Mason to assassinate JFK. Maybe he just knew Mason just had a better shot at taking those three down than if Reznov were there with him. Maybe there was another reason as to why nothing came out of this. One reason could just be that BO2 was different from what we know now of BO2. It’s possible that BO2 originally was supposed to take place fully in the past again instead of 2025 and there seems to be a lot of hints towards that. We had Woods being alive at Hanoi and someone named “X” got that information. Doctor Clarke’s brother was seemingly teased but we never really saw what happened in that. There was an operation to take down Mason for his possible involvement in JFK’s death and to take down anybody who helped him which would’ve included Hudson and Weaver. I always wondered what happened in that because that could explain why Weaver wasn’t in BO2 for some reason but now we don’t know what happened to him yet Mason and Hudson are alive in BO2. Then lastly of course, Reznov being “John Trent. I don’t even think BO2 was originally supposed to take place in 2025.

So many years already went by for Reznov to want to give him that closure. Still, it wouldn’t make sense for Reznov to actually be there alive and helping him. The operation that I’m telling you about is what took place after the BO1 campaign where the CIA moved forward with the objective to take out Mason and anybody who helps him. BO1’s ending implied that Mason may have likely killed JFK or was just involved in it. That’s why he’s targeted. No, he didn’t hear the numbers until old wounds because he thought all the targets were dead. They came back when he saw Kravchenko again not because of the broadcast station being destroyed. The broadcast station and him killing his targets are two separate things. This isn’t even a debate. I don’t think you understood what I’ve said.

I know nothing serious about ww2 because there are almost no ( objective ) books about it in my languge as our country was under a communist regime till recently. Also I just dont enjoy reading PDFs and I have a hard time grasping new words in english and still be focused on what Im reading so the result is that Im 18 and uneducted as f. Even so, can you guys recommend some mandatory books in english that I should order and read ?

In fact, Resnov is alive. Because, when we get off the chair on the main menu and we access the computer, we can log on Hudson's email account, and there we have some emails from a guy called "John Trent". One of three email says: "You did well, tell Mason that now is freedom for both of us".

Did you not notice that the russian guy you play as in World at War, Petrenko, is still with you in BO1? As well as the fact that he is the one that ends up getting tested with the nerve gas? I was sad that you didn't mention him while you were talking about the events on the throwback mission, but oh well, we are talking about Reznov here.
I was saddened seeing Petrenko die like that. I had so much fun playing World At War as him, then onto Black Ops and seeing the hero I was, die. I almost wanted to cry because of it
It was so awesome seeing Dimitri and Reznov fighting alongside each other again, and to actually see what Dimitri looks like in Black Ops. It's like how we see Soap more in depth in MW2. Them showing Dimitri dying in Black Ops gets the player riled up and more motivated to kill Dragovich, Kravchenko, and Steiner
Yeah, no talks about Chernov as much. Petrenko is probably the most underrated Call of duty character. A badass in WAW and his death was the reason BO1 and BO2 happened.
My guy forgets that in some mission when reznov comes out and him and mason are talking, other characters talk to mason saying “who are you talking to” and say things that prove that reznov was never there. Small thing to miss but in the end it’s pretty cool that they detailed it that much. The small quotes characters say says a lot and explains a lot
You forgot to mention the Easter egg message that hints reznov being alive at the beginning of each level in bo1 there are numbers that can be decoded the message is "Reznov is dead, or is he dead, there was no body, is he who he says he is" taken from the reznov wiki page and also the little Easter egg in bo2s mob of the dead if you upgrade the ak 47 it becomes the Reznov's Revenge just wanted to include it :p

I always see a lot of people gloss over or at least not know this but if you look in the terminal in the main menu behind Mason, you’ll have access to files/Emails containing messages from characters from the game and unseen characters. This was the same place where people could find out about the message of Woods being alive and at the Hanoi Hilton. A person named “X” confirms this and we see that in BO2, Woods was alive. Another person by the name of “John Trent” talks about many things like Mason and the Vorkuta Prison escape. He also says a lot of quotes that Reznov has said in the campaign. One big one was his message to Hudson which was “Please tell Mason one thing, this time it’s freedom for both of us” which refers the Vorkuta escape. These messages are after the Vorkuta. So this means that Reznov did survive the Vorkuta. Yes. Reznov is still a hallucination in the main story but this “John Trent” guy is actually Reznov and was likely somewhere else when the events of BO1 was happening.
That's a conversation between the blackout characters, not the actual characters. They are like sudo clones of the original characters. They also don't know that they are clones.

No longer." Then when Mason sees Reznov he starts freaking out, but Woods reassures him saying that Reznov is real and was the first "archetype." Since we know archetypes are another word for clones, this means that they do know they aren't the original versions of themselves.
Umm actually ..... You fight WITH the Mujahideen against the Soviets, hence you fighting Kravchenko. This is a very famous war in history and was the plot of Rambo 3.

Reznov actually survived. If you read call of duty: mobile's season 9 comic, reznov was in it and stated him being 103 years old, so he was still alive at 2016
Played through the gem that is the bo1 campaign again today. Its crazy good. How Hudson looks at Mason like he is delusional. Always blabbing on about Dragovitch, Krevchenko. Meanwhile Mr. Shades just wants the numbers. He also tells you not to trust Reznov and nobody ever acknowledges Viktor in any of the missions, aside from Mason. Shifter or what ever the dude in the rat hole is called, calling you crazy. And just the numbers etc, that start playing as soon as Reznov makes an appearance. Highly recommend to give the campaign one more go if you havent played it in a while.
@@levvy3006 Uh no, he maintains a loathing for Dragovich and the higher ups for essentially abandoning them to Stalingrad with nothing... But speaking out would have meant death -- especially when he learns they were working with Steiner the Nazi in the first place.

They seriously need to make an remake or remastered version of BO1 or WAW (i dont know if there is already one but). This was by far my FAVORITE game out of the other COD games. (Obviously with reznov in it.)

I already know Woods survived and how he survived, what’s your point? They still could’ve had him survive even if BO2 had been kept in the past instead of 2025. The thing where I didn’t think they thought of keeping Woods alive was that there were soldiers waiting in the place where both Woods and Kravchenko fell yet none of those soldiers were able to take out Kravchenko after he and Woods went out the window. I don’t know what your point was in explaining that. I already know Woods lived.
I also already know why Mason was targeted by the CIA and that he was brainwashed. What does that have to do with what I said? The operation that I’m telling you about is what took place after the BO1 campaign where the CIA moved forward with the objective to take out Mason and anybody who helps him. BO1’s ending implied that Mason may have likely killed JFK or was just involved in it. That’s why he’s targeted.
No, he didn’t hear the numbers until old wounds because he thought all the targets were dead. They came back when he saw Kravchenko again not because of the broadcast station being destroyed. The broadcast station and him killing his targets are two separate things.

It was so awesome seeing Dimitri and Reznov fighting alongside each other again, and to actually see what Dimitri looks like in Black Ops. It's like how we see Soap more in depth in MW2. Them showing Dimitri dying in Black Ops gets the player riled up and more motivated to kill Dragovich, Kravchenko, and Steiner

Small thing to miss but in the end it’s pretty cool that they detailed it that much. The small quotes characters say says a lot and explains a lot

You forgot to mention the Easter egg message that hints reznov being alive at the beginning of each level in bo1 there are numbers that can be decoded the message is "Reznov is dead, or is he dead, there was no body, is he who he says he is" taken from the reznov wiki page and also the little Easter egg in bo2s mob of the dead if you upgrade the ak 47 it becomes the Reznov's Revenge just wanted to include it :p

I always see a lot of people gloss over or at least not know this but if you look in the terminal in the main menu behind Mason, you’ll have access to files/Emails containing messages from characters from the game and unseen characters. This was the same place where people could find out about the message of Woods being alive and at the Hanoi Hilton. A person named “X” confirms this and we see that in BO2, Woods was alive. Another person by the name of “John Trent” talks about many things like Mason and the Vorkuta Prison escape. He also says a lot of quotes that Reznov has said in the campaign. One big one was his message to Hudson which was “Please tell Mason one thing, this time it’s freedom for both of us” which refers the Vorkuta escape. These messages are after the Vorkuta. So this means that Reznov did survive the Vorkuta. Yes. Reznov is still a hallucination in the main story but this “John Trent” guy is actually Reznov and was likely somewhere else when the events of BO1 was happening.
What about this intel in BO4 that holds a conversation between Reznov, Woods and Mason?
That's a conversation between the blackout characters, not the actual characters. They are like sudo clones of the original characters. They also don't know that they are clones.

Played through the gem that is the bo1 campaign again today. Its crazy good. How Hudson looks at Mason like he is delusional. Always blabbing on about Dragovitch, Krevchenko. Meanwhile Mr. Shades just wants the numbers. He also tells you not to trust Reznov and nobody ever acknowledges Viktor in any of the missions, aside from Mason. Shifter or what ever the dude in the rat hole is called, calling you crazy. And just the numbers etc, that start playing as soon as Reznov makes an appearance. Highly recommend to give the campaign one more go if you havent played it in a while.

And that the numbers where a way to find a worthy person and it was Alex mason who was ready for reznov’s challenge.

The Reznov we see after Vorkuta is still a hallucination but Reznov was still alive after Vorkuta. Of course, he’s most likely dead by the time BO2 takes place and is for sure, dead in the 2025 era but he still could’ve survived BO1.
