@@CareerVidz It's because she's not a natural speaker. She sounds like a primary school kid reading lines in a school play. She talks like she's wearing earphones and isn't aware of how loud she's being.
Her tone of voice coupled with no background ambience makes us feel like we're in a vacuum with a banshee screaming in our ears.
Perhaps if she spoke more gracefully and wasn't reading a script word for word we wouldn't feel like we're in Guantanamo being subjected to high frequency radio torture.
Also, her delivery was slow, the presentation was dull & not particularly informative and provided no real insight beyond common sense interview questions. Oh, and it was extremely boring. I would rather wait for paint to dry in evaporation inducing temperatures than watch a second of this again.

What about if prison officer is your first job? Would you have to make up answers to these questions? It does say minimum age is 18 and i'm 20 and just finished college and was looking at joining the prison service as after applying for PCSO i thought the prison service would be better suited for me, thoughts? I've had situations where i've helped the police in situations and situations in college with racism etc could i use these examples?

your answers to the questions are from a very inexperienced position , they would not give you high marks , believe me , dont follow this at all
To become a prison officer and make sure that inmate prisoners don’t escape.
Great video, I have just one question what if you have not worked with young people before how would you answer the last question.

Hello James,
It is unlikely that you will be able to use a calculator. However, this would need to be clarified with the assessors, as the test does change slightly each year.

Thank you for the reply that helped me out with nerves a bit :) So they were doing interviews all day around 120 applicants in total for this position's I am not sure how many prison custody officer positions were available. they said after the interview I will know at the end of this week. The other 4 applicants for interview dressed in jeans and a t shirt and I showed up in a suit looking like one of the men in black aha but I think that worked to my advantage. I was asked similer questions to whats in this video be prepaired for that.
All in all I think it went well I only had one trip up but it was minor they are very particular on explaining these scenarios and articulating your points.
Will know at the end of the week if I got the position if i remember ill post :)
