    My sister once told my mom she’d call CPS over some banal reason and she responded “call them. They’ll come and take you to a foster home, probably split you and your siblings up, and you can sleep in bunk beds with 5 other kids to a room.” That was the last time my sister used that tactic

      Not exactly the same thing here, but I was ratted out to the police for a dumb kid thing (thanks Ray!). They came on a Sunday morning, my mom answered the door with her plate of pancakes, let them in and said they were here for me and just went back to eating. I was so isolated at that moment, so very much on my own that I never did anything like that again. Tough moms are the best moms, I’m glad you’re holding the line with your kids.

    I became a single father after 17 years of marriage. My sons mother, due to the lousy healthcare system died from cancer. Two weeks after the funeral sitting at the kitchen. How am I going to raise a 7 and 11 year old sons that were hurt because their mother died. Then it dawned on me. Marine Corp barracks. I screamed down the hall at the boys and to got into the living room. Told them I loved them, I can't run this house alone, you're going to have have learn some new skills like washing cloths, dishes and cooking. 10 years later, the boys took me out on Mother's Day. I was given a Mother's Day Card. "Happy Mother's Day, Dad. Mom would be proud." The youngest turned down three full ride college scholarships enlisted in the military, oldest now runs a family business and side hustles. Tough Love never hurt any kid.

    My wife is a middle school teacher and was suspended- because she took a cell phone away from a child- during a mid-term exam. Board ruled, that she was " derelict" in her duty to remove the connection between the 12 yr old and her mother. Bill was extremely unfair to Hunter Biden not discussing the fact the major source of his and most peoples severe addiction problems was childhood trauma. Hunter and his brother witnessed their mother and sister die in front of their faces in a horrific accident when they were young. If that wasn’t bad enough, Hunter dealt with his brother and beat friend dying of cancer. That would push anyone over the deep end. I bet Bill Maher owns a gun and is addicted to drugs, maybe he should get charged with gun charges too. Maher never went to law school and passed the bar like Hunter. From what I hear from one of my daughters who teaches in NYC... The biggest complaints about the proposed phone ban in schools are the parents. They WANT their child to be able to call them in case of a school shooting.

    • @BigBadJerryRogers
      @BigBadJerryRogers 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Then we absolutely have to get rid of the phones in schools. Clearly these parents are not motivated enough to actually do anything possible to stop school shootings before they start and this is what they're using to cope

      @cindypoole6792 Good point! Biden also struggles with a stutter which I notice gets more pronounced when he seems tired. In addition, Biden has arthritis and walks with a stiff gait. Sometimes I worry that we're just one fractured hip away from disaster, especially since Kamala Harris is an unpopular VP. The first Presidential debate later this month will allow both candidates to stake their claims and prove to their supporters that they are the best man for the top job. I trust that President Biden can perform well if he sticks with listing his accomplishments and allowing former President Trump to whine about his victimhood...maybe Hannibal Lecter's name will even be invoked again - LOL!

You will not make noise; you will not do anything to embarrass your mother or myself. He never had to once hit us - it was the "threat". We behaved. I was never scared of my dad in the real sense. Cnn needs trump. Trump doesn’t need cnn. Trump can use twitter and get way more views than cnn could bring in. Tucker carlson proved that.
