I’ve been to many spots along this trail, I live in Fife Lake, but have never done the whole loop. Never heard of old 131 campground either. But I think I’m gonna backpack this next weekend, thanks for the encouragement. ✌️Happy Trails

Great channel! Also love that trail, I’m heading up there very soon.. were the mosquitoes horrible?! How many ticks did you pull off yourself? They are horrible this year, I had about 20 on me about a month ago at the beach! 😮

The sections of NCT trail going east of spring lake campground to the large rest area is where all the mosquitos were at. And I'm not lying they were bad. The ticks are really bad this year all over Michigan. I pulled about 4 off my arms. But the trail was gorgeous in many places. I recommend to go off trail here and exploring.

@@BeyondTheBirch Thanks! We went last weekend and pulled 10 ticks off us! Made a movie of our trip also! Thanks for the info! ☺️

I hiked the trail last year and there was no one at the campground then either. It was kinda creepy lol
      Great video btw!

Ha, ha "Magasaqua". Glad to see the Fife Lake loop portion going south. You went the other direction last video? What are your first impressions of the bear canister? I'm wondering if MI bears even know what a PCT hang is. Nice, intro by the way. When I hike the NCT, day hike, I never see backpackers. Even day hikers are rare.

Yes, it was a strange journey this time around, but it was fun. Think I may have been off trail at times. But it was very beautiful. I really am in Love with my bear canister. It sounds silly, but it doubles as a seat as well. XD I want to set a trip wire noise alarm to it so if some wild animal does try to tamper with it It will scare them off.
