Man, I don't know why I love this character so much, maybe because it was one of the first major Decepticon set pieces teased for the first movie, but I can't wait to get this recolor. Great figure, great engineering, great vehicle mode. And switching him to an Autobot working for NEST just makes me love him even more.

That's a reoccurring concept in Transformers, most often explored with Clones and Protoforms/body types. It's used to explain why characters like Bumblebee and Cliffjumper, or more famously, the Seekers.
Well that is a good point cause in some of the transformers movies it shows some decepticons that died in some other movies like for example it showed bonecrusher in the 2nd movie when he died in the 1st film .it confused me but i figured they were probably clones or protoforms that choose the same form as other decepticon warriors that were shown in the films

The reason no one does that for the bayverse is that either other continuities explain why some characters look like each other and/or they have different colors or slight alterations to their design so they are easily distinguishable. The bayverse does neither of these so of course no one applies that same logic. When Bonecrusher appears again after the first movie he looks exactly the same.

Onslaught and Longhaul are two separate characters who only look alike in Bayverse. And then we have the issue of the Constructicon clones. Only three of them are given different names from their respective clones while others look exactly the same in shape and coloring. Two Longhauls. Two Mixmasters. Two Scrappers. Two Scrapmetals. And we only have these clones as a cheap excuse for not giving us any new Decepticon designs in the desert battle. Now, other than looks, let’s get into the issue of having two sets of Constructicons. The first is that whenever Transformers share looks, it’s usually because they were cast with the same/similar mold, or they belong to a specific group/squadron; as we can see with the Seekers and cone heads. There’s only one group of Constructicons because they’re a combiner group. They wouldn’t have clones or cast siblings. And then we get into why this doesn’t make sense in terms of the ROTF movie. If you have two sets of Constructicons, that would mean you would have had two Devastators. Now, obviously the second set of Constructicons couldn’t form into a Devastator since their Scrapmetal and Demolisher were killed earlier in the film. However, there should not be two Devastators to begin with. Devastator is a singular entity. Only one combiner has the name of Devastator, and only one group turns into him. Very, very few combiners have clones of themselves, and when they do, they either belong to the opposite faction of their other clone, they have different colors, or they have different heads. Other than the color difference of Rampage and Demolisher on the second Devastator, it still would have looked like the Devastator we saw in the film. There’s only meant to be one Devastator, not two. That’s why we have so many different combiner groups; so that they all can have striking differences from each other. By having two Devastators that practically look the same as opposed to being different from each other takes away from Devastator’s individuality. Now, the protoforms are fine since they’re protoforms. But when Bayverse makes clones of characters, specifically when those clones use names that clearly don’t belong to any previous Transformer who was never a clone, it comes off as lazy.
It demonstrates remarkable restraint on Hasbro's part not selling us a NEST Ironhide this past year to those desperate for the mold before selling the mold again in his proper colors a second time in the anniversary 5 pack. The jury is still out on whether they sell a DoTM Ironhide with his new accessories next year after the 5 pack sells out to scoop up our money yet again. :P
I already own the original version. I got lucky at a target trip one day and didn't realize how hard to find he would become. Probably one of the rarest ones I own in my small collection, considering how much he goes for now.

Yknow.. People give a ton of bad stuff to the bayverse designs. Can we just appreciate the Creativity behind some of the designs for a bit? They were supposed to look Alien with the decepticon's insect like faces and i know *"It's not G1 accurate"* but G1 accuracy isn't always good. Heck the new transformers as a WHOLE needs more creative designs to their characters like Armada, Prime, heck even G2 got more creative designs than modern day transformers. Wheres the character creativity Hasbro?

I remember seeing a Hunt for the Decepticons jungle camo repaint of Bonecrusher for Revenge of the Fallen. Bio said he somehow survived being decapitated by Optimus Prime, stuck his head back on, then fled all the way to the Amazon
Those N.E.S.T figures do look cool with that color with the gray and mostly i think navy blue. That bonecrusher does look cooler than his movie one counterpart. Studio series are making real improvements and better designs on their figures.

I think we definitely need a N.E.S.T. Ironhide from the 2007 SS Ironhide mold so people could more easily buy him individually and not have to pay $100+ just to get one and also they could use the same deco they used back in 2009 with the recon Ironhide.
This honestly would’ve been so much better if this was him in DOTM since we don’t really know if the clone of him died in the Egyptian battle in ROTF since Long Haul and Scrapper briefly appeared in DOTM during Optimus Prime’s rage before delivering the final blow to Shockwave so it could’ve been a neat touch if this was him and decided to change his color just like Ratchet, Bumblebee and Sideswipe did.

Personally, I like the bayverse take on transformers. The idea of clunky metal robots just fits the idea of alien robots more than what g1 and tf 4 and 5 did with their humanesque look.
I don't understand why Hasbro would release this color of Bonecrusher (even if it's cool), when they can make an updated Jungle Bonecrusher figure in Studio series.

Dude! I don't know what's up with the re-releases because my ironhide and bumblebee was missing a right eye on each of them just like this guy. Super disappointing

Personally, I like the bayverse take on transformers. The idea of clunky metal robots just fits the idea of alien robots more than what g1 and tf 4 and 5 did with their humanesque look.

I don't understand why Hasbro would release this color of Bonecrusher (even if it's cool), when they can make an updated Jungle Bonecrusher figure in Studio series.
Bonecrusher is actually favorite transformer of all time (btw I mean the bay verse bonecrusher, not cartoon bonecrusher, bay verse bonecrusher.)
