it was great to watch you do your gathers with yarn............never saw that before...........i have a ruffler foot and i love it......love the dress its beautiful..........i didnt do the sew along because i didnt see it in time .........
Hey Brittany, this is a simple dress to make, the hardest part is the gathers and making sure they are distributed even. This is a great sew with me video. TFS, be safe and be blessed. 🥰💖💖💖💯
You never cease to amaze me. You are an amazing seamstress. You have original pieces and don't have to worry about looking like someone else. BEAUTIFUL DRESS and it looks really pretty on you. Thanks for sharing. 💙💚💜
Love how you showed and discussed that part about only sewing to the dot and how it looked once you made your correction. Thank you for another great video!
Darling dress, but do you make pattern adjustments, like a FBA, etc.? It would be nice to hear what you had to do to make this and any dress fit perfectly.
@Brittany, I am really struggling with attaching the sleeves to the waistband, especially how to join them at the underarm seam. Can you help? Or anyone else?
Love this pattern, love the sew along. very good explanation all the way through. Love the yarn gathering technique, I will definitely try this. I'm sad I can't get this pattern in the UK. I would love to make it for this summer. If anyone in the USA could send me the pattern I'd be happy to pay friends postage 😀
I wonder if you did the top and skirt panels a plain fabric and the sleeves a patterned fabric whether the dress would look like a pinafore dress? Would point where they all meet at the under arm look ok? Or would the sleeves look disproportionate? Curious...
Ha Brittany how. Are you I seen you and Mimi on the tv show Real Hosewifes of Atlanta you was showing Sherr some fabric great to have seen you both like the gingham fabric you made this dress with
To get the “v neck” completely flat, after stitching the facing, trim the seam allowance and clip to the dot at the center. Do the suggested understitching and press facing to the inside. Clipping to the point and understitching will be key to getting it flat.
Thank you for this tutorial. Love the yarn technique for the gathering stitches!!!❤❤❤
Thank you for the video. You are a great teacher!
ok... but this yarn trick? Genius! I'm definitely going to try it.

Do you think this would be a hard dress for a beginner. I love this dress.
If you can gather fabric, and install pockets, I think a beginner can tackle this pattern. ❤️

Opinions on whether this dress would work as a maternity dress. Thanks

Maybe in the earlier months, but the bodice might fall a bit low for it to be comfortable when your bump is really full.
Was out looking for the pattern can't find it anywhere, do you have some suggestions 🤔.
I've seen sellers on both ebay and etsy
@@laurimiller7824 thank you will look it to it.
You didn’t show us how you got that “V neck” to be completely flat. That is huge for making a dress like this. I’m sad.

Cute, but all I see here are Plus Size soccer mom designs. Not my style.
