My younger brother had a RedMax trimmer he used for 27 years, he passed away and my nephew has been using it for the past 3 years. That things still rocking the weeds. Nice job Hester. 👍
Sorry I definitely should've clarified. This was a used Weedwhacker when he bought it and since he's owned it he has run nothing but canned fuel. That was a very big oversight on my part I apologize
Hey I wonder if u would consider doing a video or videos on how to adjust the carburetor on a chainsaw, Weedeater ,Blower and explain what and why you are doing what u do ????? I think I could and would understand you. They always say turn the low idle screw until it 4 strokes or something like that just asking
Honestly it varies from Machine to Machine if I'm confident I will give a shoot from the hip estimate but I always tell people my hourly rate and I charge what it takes me (within reason lol)
@@hester781. Yeah, and that’s my problem - taking way too long my first time. Call me the Belt Wrestler! Martin from Individualized Repair charges 1.5-2 hours for drive belts and .5 for deck belts. Given my struggle that sounds fine with me! I wish I was charging more than $40/hour, but I’ll get there.
Do you see as many RedMax machines as other makes? I have yet to get my hands on any despite seeing pretty much every other make sold in the past 20-30 years.

They can last a lifetime with the proper care and treatment 👍🏻
That's for sure.
I could never adjust those carbs right. Thanks for explaining your method so clearly. I'm sure this will help many guys out there!
Thank you! 👍🏻
Great Stuff! That was the cleanest carb I ever seen you work on! 😃👍
That was nice for a change 😂
This was a really good video, especially the fine tuning once the carb was repaired.
Thank you! I was wondering how people would respond I figure either they enjoyed it or I was putting them to sleep 😂
Great video! Wow, I’ll never run “canned” fuel since it ruined the metering diaphragm like that.
Nah, the owner misspoke. Must be running ethanol.

That's an excellent idea I will definitely try to throw something like that together in the future👍🏻
@@hester781 thank you
I haven't seen RedMax for quite a while.....? ? ? ? ?
They are pretty common in my area
Hey, JD! Shop time on changing ZT deck and drive belts?

I actually see more red max than any other machine. They are very popular in my area especially with landscapers

Well that explains it - they all stick around your area where they know they can get first class treatment! 🔧👍
