Super informative video! I just worked on a new to me 28" Deluxe and I saw a few items in your video that I need to go back and redo. Extremely helpful! Neat trick with the vent tube too.
@@hester781 Also had the dreaded Torch plug come with it and it failed. Never had a plug actually fail until now. Those will be going straight to the trash barrel next time I come across one!
The camera in your way makes for great video much appreciated. Very Mustie 1 like !! I've had my experience as well with Torch plugs they will burn you LOL. Great job as usual... 👍
Hello brother Hester 😊 I've never seen that switch come off there so easily 😅 you got lucky on that one buddy 👍 thanks for sharing....those mice sure got out fast 😂😂😂
@ I have 2 units, I made some rookie mistakes with it at first but after watching plenty of TH-cam videos and joining a Facebook group for the heaters, it’s really easy now with great heat. You can use the off road diesel to run them for even cheaper (tax free diesel). Word of advice, only use diesel. Some try cooking oil and used motor oil, it clogs them up eventually. Straight diesel is just easier. It’s a game changer for heat, I expect people to be heating their houses with these soon. I’d buy some now before tariffs hit on stuff out of the country.
The most expensive form of energy You can use to heat any space is electric. Hester, do yourself a favor and get yourself a direct vent pellet stove. It will be more work to get the pellets and load up the pellet stove as well as clean it every few weeks, But I guarantee with the price of electricity in new england the new pellet stove will pay for itself in less than thirty months. And you will still be using this shop after that time! Don't believe me, Take a look at hoe donnie boy 73 heat his shop in Canada. And by the way, I am giving you free advice from an energy consultant with decades of proven experience and several advanced degrees. It's my way of giving back to you doing the christmas season because I enjoy your videos. Good luck with whatever you decide, because you are paying the energy bill not me!!!
Thank you for the advice! I couldn't agree more with you about electric heat being the most expensive I could have done, my problem is space is a hot commodity in my shop so I went with what gave me the most floor space. I do have a kerosene torpedo heater which I will run for 10 or 15 minutes just to take the chill out and then carry on from there with the electric heater. Still not very efficient but I'm only using it for 3 or 4 days a month. The new garage I'm building is using a 45000 btu natural gas modine hot dawg which should definitely be cheaper lol
@hester781 You will definitely solve your problem by burning natural gas to heat your new shop. Natural gas. Is the cheapest form of energy to use for heating, Better than a pellet stove. Glad to see you are getting better facilities because you really need the room!
Way to go, Hester! Another beautiful machine rescued, and two mice released back into the wild. Excellent show. Very informative. 😀👍
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! I bet the mice weren't too happy about it though 😂👍🏻
Another machine in remarkably good condition! Now, it is like new! Great job, and thanks for the video!
Thank you! 👍🏻

Thank you! I don't know what they make these vent tubes out of but it seems like no matter what I do they just don't last more than a year or two

I recently put in a Chinese diesel heater in my shop. Great cheap heat. For around $100 and a fuel sipper, you can not go wrong.
I've seen those a lot recently! I think I might have to try that

For those of us who produce used oil on a regular basis, we need something that burns that at the same price point!
Hester, Get channel! How about some instruction for leaf blowers?
I do have a few older videos on my channel on leaf blowers. I just haven't had many come in for repair lately
Wow I loved this video. Subscribed 👍

Shame on you, JD, displacing Mr. and Mrs. Fluffy, especially after all the hard work they put in on that multi-level apartment! 😁
What was I supposed to do? I mean, they were nine months behind on rent!!! 😂👍🏻

Why not use propane for heat, much more efficient than electric
I used propane for a while, it worked ok but condensation was a real problem
