Thank you so much for subscribing to my channel - much appreciated! I am very grateful to Jack for the shoutout and I hope you enjoy the videos I have recorded to date 😊
Best wishes,

Hey Jack! Man I love comps! I’ve collected various comps since I was a little kid! I’ve amassed quite a collection of comps of all genres but especially psych & garage stuff. I love those Brown Acid trips! I think I have all but the most recent release in that series. My fave garage stuff that I highly recommend are the Highs in the Mid Sixties comps put out by Pebbles. And of course any of the Pebbles or Nuggets comps are so good! Also check out the garage comps called Back from the Grave on Crypt Records! Those are slammin’! Psychedelic Unknowns is another great comp series! Great stuff Jack! It’s probably too late for me to get in on this but I’ll def check out the channels you shouted out! Peace ✌️👽
Hey Brian, always loved a comp too, especially making up my own! love the Nuggets and Pebbles compilations too, but haven’t heard Highs in the Mud Sixties. I’m keen to pickup that bubblegum comp that you showed in a recent video… love all that stuff, so good. Cheers for watching pal!
Dammit, I used to buy those Sounds compilations, but never grabbed the Oi! album. Those Trojan box sets are brilliant. It's hard to find used reggae albums that aren't battered, so it's great to have these CD boxes. Nice one Jack.
Hi David, I’m not really familiar with the Sounds compilations and only know the Oi one. What other stuff did they do? Love those Trojan box sets, the Rude Boy one is another beauty! I don’t have much reggae on vinyl, but do like it, especially early ska. Cheers, Jack
Brilliant video as always, Jack and thank you so much for the channel shoutout too 🙏 That was very kind of you and it’s sincerely appreciated! 👍
Really looking forward to your next vid!
Until then, all the best pal!
Christian
Cheers Christian, your video was excellent!
@ Thank you very much indeed, Jack! 🙏
Best wishes,
Christian
Some great comps. Oi The Album is the only one I have. I want to get the Ugly Things comps after seeing Ben show them.
Cheers Richie, love a good comp! The Ugly Things records are high on my list. The stuff I’ve listened to is rawer than any other garage rock I’ve heard. Ben has shown loads of great Australian psych and garage that I’d love to pick up.
Great selections Jack, the Oi and Trojan were my faves as I've got plenty of both 👍👍👍
Cheers Nick, I thought you'd like them. I've been listening to a lot of Eek-a-Mouse this year... sounds like something that you'd be a fan of 👍
Jack, thanks so much for your entry. Not familiar with any of these comps, but the Mojo comps really stand out. Just subbed Christian’s channel. This was just the type of sharing I’d envisioned when I put it out there. Your name goes in the hat. Fantastic stuff my friend. Those Trojan comps are superb. Cheers, and happy holidays.
Cheers Jack! A fun contest and well done for hitting 3 years!
Nice compilations there jack
Totally agree with Trojan
My top 5 compilations i have
Johnny Boy would Loved This :
A John Martyn Tribute
Nuggets : Original Artifacts of the Psychedelic Era
Pimps , Players and Private Eyes
Everything you need in Blacksploitation
Going Underground : Sound of a Generation
Hitsville USA : Motown Boxset
Hey Jesse, Nuggets is probably my favourite boxset comp. I’ve got the cd edition. Going Underground is a fantastic comp too. Pimps, Players and Private Eyes sounds interesting! Cheers pal!
Great comps there, Jack! I have something like 20 years of Mojo's, and have those CD's you showed, and all the others. Their comps cannot be beat! They've turned me on to so much new music and artists over the years. I had fun putting together my entry for Jack's contest as well. Love those Northern Soul comps. Excellent entry! 😎🎶 You're almost at 1k subs...yowsah!
Cheers Ed, you’re right, so much variety in those Mojo comps! So much great music to discover in them. I actually struggle to keep up with them and actually go back to them after a few months sometimes. They are always great though! A few away from the 1K… it’s been a fun year and would be a nice way to finish it! Cheers for watching, Jack
@TheVinylVoyage-ud3uf I uploaded them all to my iPod years ago and created a Mojo Comp Playlist that I still listen to in the work office or when traveling. 😎🎶 You'll be at 1k subscribers by the time I finish typing this reply!
@ I did the same with an old Creative Jukebox Zen MP3 player (RIP old faithful 🪦) I should really rip them to a usb for the car now. I’ve got so many now though…. seems a mammoth task 🙂
@TheVinylVoyage-ud3uf I hear ya! I have my iPod backed up on an external hard drive and the cloud...for extra security!
Excellent comps Jack, I’ve bought Brown Acid 1-10 plus the box to store it in as a lot, cheaper in bulk, and I am a sucker for punk comps and ska/reggae comps especially Trojan stuff from the late 90’s early 2000’s
Have a happy Christmas
Hi Dean, those earlier Brown Acid are shooting up in price. Would like to pick those up. Didn't know you could get a box to store them. Have a happy Christmas too pal!
These all look fabulous. The Brown Acid comp has a really fine cover indeed. This contest has highlighted how awful my collection of comps is. I guess I need to film an entry!
I was the same Brian! Realised I didn't have many comps on records... got tonnes on cd though. Look forward to watching your entry!
Some nice comps Jack. I would love more of those little Trojan cd boxes. I only have a couple. Also watching your video I realised that I forgot to give my shoutout when doing my entry😕 I've just subbed Christians channel. Cheers Mike 👍
Hey Mike, I’ve got about 6 or 7 of those Trojan comps. Love them! The Soul one is really cool with lots of Trojan acts covering soul standards. Cheers for watching, Jack
Lucky you didn't frazzle yourself mate! Love the Brown Acid series, but I might stop when they get to number 20. I said that back when number 10 came out. Love the cover of You Better Believe It. Seems like something I would dig too. I have a tonne of soul music. I have a great instrumental Turkish psych album. Can't remember the name of it but there is a monkey own the cover & I think it's green. Good man getting the Ugly Things cd comp. You were a switched on 14 year old! Thanks for the shout out mate. I have 4 of those Mojo Music Guides. I think there was only 4 and they're all good. I used to subscribe to them too so have a shitload of their comps. I used also like the Roots ones too where they'd pick a band and put a stack of their influences on the cd 👍Love a home made mixed cd or tape too. Cheers....Ben
That Ugly Things CD came from a Glasgow cash and carry store called Makro. I got loads of great music from their in my formative years. Another favourite was a compilation by The Move which had a great live cover version of Love's Stephanie Knows Who... good times! Yeah, those Mojo Roots comps are great too... the Led Zep one was really cool with Bert Jansch and Roy Harper. I'm planning to do a video tomorrow morning and just remembered that my mic is fried. Might need to try and give it one more blast. Once more unto the breach, dear friends!
Snap! I showed a Sounds compilation in my video too. Interesting to see that Mojo Manchester Anthems CD. Do you remember to Help compilation that came out in 1995? It wasn't really a Brit Pop compilation, but was almost regarded as such at the time.
Hey John, I remember that Help compilation. If I remember rightly, it was a charity cd. Didn’t have it myself, but there was some good stuff on there. I’m quite new to that Sounds comp and it’s quite different to what I normally listen to, but been enjoying it. Thanks for watching pal, Jack
Hey Jack. Great group of comps. Brown Acid just dropped the 19th Trip - I just picked it up - so good as always - I own all the trips - and you’re right they are so well curated! Cheers
Hey Bobby, didn't realise that they'd put out another... it's hard to keep up. Forgot they were curated by Lance at Permanent Records. Have you subbed to his channel? It's really good.
@ They’re such amazing albums. I do sub to Lance’s channel, he always has killer stuff to show from his record buying trips. I’ve been busy doing two tags and finally have them up. The Soundtrack Tag 2024, and the Vinyl Tag 2025, which I loved doing, fun questions. Cheers
@ I’ll have watch Bobby… love the Vinyl Tags!
Danger ‼️ Unexplored microphones alert ‼️
At least you didn’t expire in filming this one
I shall put this one on my ever growing thread / comps replies video list asap
Stay well ❤
Hey Gav, I've stopped worrying about falling behind with threads and comps.... just too many to do and I don't have enough time anymore.
@ 👍 don’t worry this one and your should have been massive response is still on the burner for next week !!
