This is probably my favourite cover from Jimmy. He does a killer version of this on the 2001 dvd “live at the chapel” This song was originally sung by the legend Wilson Pickett.
Jimmy continues to astound and delight. I love everything he does but I think my favorite is still Stone Cold. I get a kick out of how much you enjoy him.
I was in Illinois for a year, and I had taken my Cold Chisel / Jimmy Barness / John Farnham / Johnny Diesel / Midnight Oil / INXS / Screaming Jets/ Savage Garden CD's with me. The subject of music came up when I asked if I could borrow a CD player to play some of my music, and the father of the family I was staying with say's "Oh you poor thing, of course you would've missed out on all of our American singers, who are so great"!! I replied with "You're kidding, aren't you ? I didn't miss out on anything, we get all your music back home, it's you guys who've missed out".....He was laughing at me, but got me a CD player. I put on John Farnham n Jimmy Barnes When Something is wrong with my baby. Told me they can't sing, all they're doing is screaming - I didn't stay there long lol
It's way better than the original not saying anything bad about the great Wilson Pickett. Jimmy is a class of his own. One of my very all-time favorites.

Hit “Breakfast at Sweethearts”. Best Barnsie song around.
