Awesome!! I'm going to replace the wetlands this year if I get the chance with a pressure canister, or at least put one in line, I absolutely love how effective it is as a biofilter, but the mechanical filtration on it is just not quite enough to keep things crystal, mind you, if there weren't as many growing goldies in there, it would probably be fine!! 😅🤣🤣🤣
I think the old claim that keeping them in shallow water was based in a time when there was a lack of clear water due to their being no filtration systems, and from a time before pumps and flow in an aquarium, so it would have been easier to see them in shallow water, and it would have forced them to swim horizontally, improving their body shape and muscle mass, but I think in the modern pond, with electricity, pumps and flow, they get a great workout and have no issues! A fish with buoyancy issues has them regardless off the water depth (within reason!), 5ft effects mine no different than 2ft, they move from shallow tanks as fry to deeper and deeper tanks as they grow before going in here too, so they get a chance to experience that change in depth over a longer period too! Personally, I think they really enjoy the extra depth and space, but I'll probably make it shallower for my own viewing pleasure when the weather warms!
Great video, I love seeing the bog filter. I use the JBL Proscan myself

@@TheJoyofAquascaping I’m in a similar boat, water quality of brilliant but plenty of floaters in the water.
Great video again thanks, I have always used tetra testing kits. Just like to keep things quick and simple . I do the cutting in half trick as well.
Thank you!! 🎉🎉👏👏 Its a super handy way to save a few pound, this hobbie's expensive enough as it is! 😂😂😂
‘sup?~ The, this is awesome recoring- ))
Thank you!!
I use nt labs testing kit great advice mate how deep can you go in Height with fancy never gone over 2ft as doing my heated outdoor pond thanks
