    Wow excellent flounder! I have those silver mullets so might test them out this weekend. Is that retrieve always how you fish those Slayers?

    • @VISUAL-LY
      @VISUAL-LY  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks bro! I retrieve differently depending on the species I’m targeting and water depth, current direction etc. When it’s shallow, I like to either slow bounce it or just slow steady retrieve. I speed up for trout, slow down for reds/flounder. Good luck out there!

    That was a good understanding, to me a Door mat starts at about 23 24 inches, if you want to call it a monster I think you need to be 26 +. I see guys calling 18 inch flounder door mays on TH-cam, I guess it depends where you fish.

    • @VISUAL-LY
      @VISUAL-LY  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, everyone has their own idea of what a doormat is. The one I caught here def isn’t something I catch everyday, especially on artificial. I can see if someone soaks mullet all day at the flounder spots, then their definition of doormat would prob be more like you said. I’m just out here casting for whatever bites lol

    I Can't Understand WHY A Person would Throw a Fish LIKE THAT BACK.... Do The SMALLER Fish Deserve to Live...? That fish was fully grown and close to the end of his years... My guess is.. you have a freezer full of fish already and you're just out there to traumatize them... lol

    • @VISUAL-LY
      @VISUAL-LY  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Lol main reason I release bigger fish, particularly flounder and trout, is because those are the big breeders and more rare to reach those sizes. Their genes are apparently supreme to be able to survive that long and their size means they can produce way more eggs. In addition, the meat on larger/older fish aren’t as good. There are plenty of smaller or midsize fish that are excellent for the dinner plate.
