Hello guys!❤ Please feel free to leave some comments here for them if you know how they can overcome the challenges of Studying in the Philippines and also places to visit before they leave. THANK YOU!❤🇵🇭
Pinoys are normally curious as to why people would like to visit/stay in the Philippines - possibly just to hear about what parts of the country/culture appeals to foreigners. A part may be that a number of people here would rather work/study/live abroad so there's that disconnect of wanting to leave for "better opportunities" vs. those wanting to come here. I got asked the same question a lot as a balikbayan - why would I come back here rather than stay abroad? Anyway, cool to know there are many more foreign students here - where are they studying? I studied French in school and used it quite a bit for work here, and in helping out French-speaking students (mostly from Africa). Edit: nm, I watched another video and it looks like they're in DLSU Cavite - students & teachers in the NCR speak more English than out in the Luzon provinces unless they're at an international private school.
Most Philippine locals speak clear American classroom English. I was thinking that these French students would be more at ease in Vietnam which was a former French colony.
From my observation, they came here for the islands and not the education. They are basically fulfilling a dream. They've been going from one island to another
France and England are just a few miles apart. English is a major part of their curriculum. I think it's just about the group of French people you have met. Their English may not be as fluent but most French people understand and speak English
@TravelingTalongs It's all over France where the local there cannot understand and speak English. As unusual as Filipinos and English speak fluent French. I don't believed it's the proximity to england makes french people better in english. Look at mexico, they have sticking border with english-speaking country which is US but why most mexicans there cannot understand and speak English? Talking to French person who can speak English is like having a chance to win lottery. Finding French who can speak English is like finding the Filipinos and British who can speak French. 🤷🤷🤷
You are looks like Frenchman who speak only Alsatian and French only, no English at all. How about your French or Spanish proficiency. A ver?! You are not smart enough if you speak those three languages coz all of those three languages are just local languages in the Philippines.
To all filipinos remember, france is has a reputation about their attitude. So don't mind how vulgar they speak, this is normal to them. They are not good in being humble but they are trying... Hopefully.
They aren't disrespectful, you can see they're not exaggerating. Them coming from an ultra rich luxurious country they will really view the Philippines very differently. I appreciate their open-mindedness, unlike visitors who come from countries with almost same level as Philippines yet act like they came from a country richer than France. I just don't agree with the guy saying people here don't speak good English, perhaps they will still have to adapt to the Philippine pronunciation and accent. American English speakers don't have that problem since our English was modeled from theirs, and French people also have that certain accent so maybe that's where they find the problem.
The last student 7:15 who said she expected more from the Philippines and the reality of being here does not meet her expectations just needs to travel more to other islands.
I don't understand what you mean, but I understand you are trying to help them communicate better with jeepney drivers, and I sincerely appreciate that. Are you Filipino or French?
Where is that exactly in the Philippines? I mean, experiences vary from one city/province to another. Nevertheless, Filipinos are always warm and kind.
@@TravelingTalongs there will always be next time…. should you want to come back and explore Siargao, Camiguin, Bohol, Cebu, Siquijor or thousands of other islands in the South, the Philippines would always warmly welcome you all!
Philippines is not for everybody especially for people who came from so called more advanced first world nations. One can find more happiness when keeping an open mind & lower expectations. We are looking from different pov, having different experiences. As long as one respects the other, liking isn’t necessary… just keep moving towards your next destination.
The Philippines makes so much money from accepting tourists from all over the world. Saying it's not for a particular set of people sounds discriminatory. Do you know how much you make annually from tourism? Maybe you should direct that opinion to the Philippines government. Maybe you'll be able to influence your immigration policies that way.
@ sorry i dont think there is particularly discriminatory in my statement, of course Philippines welcomes everyone but we just dont expect that it will be liked as well. Filipinos especially those who live abroad knows exactly the difference hence we understand why not everyone will like it. Should we expect everybody to like which is rather delusional ? As i said we have different opinions & have different experiences, what is good for one will not necessarily be the same to another… and excuse me, the government in whole are exerting all effort in all agencies & departments to ensure that Philippines be a place for everybody. Maka discriminatory wagas… and if u are someone to take a general opinion as this to be discriminatory i would say you will not fit & feel accepted in the Philippines. Ang Pilipinas ay hindi para sa lahat, lalong hindi para sa mga taong may sayad at makitid ang yutak.
For you? Yes! But some Pinoys have also specifically asked for Tagalog subtitles. We hope that in doing that we can satisfy everyone 🙏 Thanks for your observation and contribution po❤️🇵🇭
@@TravelingTalongsI understand why you need to put tagalog subtitle because tagalog is an ethnicity in the philippines with the lowest english proficiency in all of the philippines. No need to put tagalog subtitle if tagalog people's english proficiency is high enough.
scholar jokes , if your smart but cant afford go to UP, if your smart and can afford go to ateneo, if you can afford go to la salle ... culinary or fine arts probably nice in la salle
Depends on what school you go to. I never had any problems at all when I attended school here in the states. I think my education there (private school in QC) was better and more diverse. Here it’s very focused and students were not as aware of other things.
I agree. According to World University Rankings, universities in the Philippines are not highly ranked so maybe students go to study there for affordability reasons.
Yung itim, galing daw sya sa english speaking country, hahaha, galing sya sa Africa siguro, magagaling silng mag english, They'd not speaking english here,in france
First of all you need to do research before you come in Philippines, before you decide to come here in my native country, so that you don’t have to complain of shit that you don’t like, what do you think you are a king of England? don’t expect that every one will bow their head and miss your ass and wining, of go somewhere else in Thailand is perfect country for you
The English accent in France is much worst than in Philippines. The Filipinos speak better english than the French, that's why there are BPO companies relocating in the country and because of their english proficiency which is widely used in dealing with international customers.
France has French as their national language. There's no real need to be able to speak English as a French citizen. So comparing their English-speaking abilities to that of Filipinos isn't fair because English is an official language here. Used in schools and other official settings
Comparing English language of French people to the English language of the Filipinos is like COMPARING THE FRENCH LANGUAGE OF MOST FILIPINOS TO THE FRENCH LANGUAGE OF MALAGASY, SENEGALESE, CONGOLESE AND FRENCH POLYNESIAN NATIONALS!

You have only been in the Philippines a month. Give it about 4 to 6 months and you have fully adopted.
I'm sure you are specifically sending this message to the girl who was interviewed last.
If we still see the sun after 6 p.m., it would really be more difficult, odd, difficult. 😂

"Stop!" Command in Jeepneys is not in English or Tagalog. It's in Spanish. "¡Pará!" Not even close to "Arrét" no?
