Thank you for that. It's always good to have updated, in-depth tutorials. Regarding the 4:57 first bullet point, I believe the AI has a certain skidding tolerance written into the code, with the tolerance set at 0 lol. They will do, and especially not do, everything to avoid skidding. This can also override the importance of timing, resulting in the mentioned problem of the AI not keeping up with the timing. This is because, on dirt roads, the AI constantly "skids." A way to counteract this would probably be AgentY's Car values mod, I think that an increased friction would most likely solve that issue.
I must say, this is a great tutorial. You did a good job explaining the basics for beginners who want to make cinematic videos. You really have come a long way.
And if you were wondering how to add roll into camera path, you should go to photo mode. When in photo mode click ALT U which hides the UI. Then click F11, then when in World Editor click Alt U again which glitches photo mode into World Editor. Now adjust the roll for each keyframe to have roll in your camera path. You could just roll it in World Editor but I think it's easier to use photo mode inside of World Editor.
hey @Shad0s, thanks for the tut. when i record a replay in slowmotion and then play it on normal speed if i have recorded it slower than x4 it gets laggy as hell in normal speed ! how can i fix this ? my PC specs : GPU : 1080ti CPU : ryzen7 2700x RAM : 32gb
That's strangely a recent bug with the game. What you can try doing is reloading your replay, which can be located when you press "Esc" and clicking the "Replay" icon. Hope this helps. :)
@@Shad0s Thanks. I think I discovered that if i keep the replay short it plays the sound, but if its like 36-40 secs long, no sound. I'm guessing this is just a random bug that will be solved if i restart the game
hello thanks for the great video, i'm kinda new to BeamNG, you have definitely seen some videos with titles like realistic roll over crash or ... , I've seen that they show the scenario from POV of other cars in traffic but the traffic sometimes has custom reactions to the crash ( like breaking early - steering away ... can they do that with Script Ai ? if yes please explain abit if possible) can we hit record again on like 50% of the Ai path to overwrite the Ai path with new reaction? if not, how are they doing it ? am i missing something here ?
Hi! Thanks for the questions. 1. People normally end up controlling the car so you can hit stop on the AI path at the place you want it to be. That way you can skid, steer out the way, etc. You can swerve using the ai to turn but it isn't as cool. 2. You cannot do that. People normally just do several clips and recordings then edit them together.
Hey shados. I make Beamng movies and I would definitely like to use camera path but there aren’t that many good tutorials. This one is the best so far. I’m trying to perfect the AI path as well and this has just told me how to do it. Thanks for the video mate! Btw how would I be able to join the BeamMP server with you guys?
hi bro,,could you help me please..! When I open the trajectory window, the trajectory scene (sub window) and vehicle trajectory also don't appear when clicked. appears briefly but disappears. and so on. is there someone who can help with this? Thank You.
problem with camera path: i can't make it go anywhere in the replay. like, i wanna make an explosion and i want it to show the same clip 3 times. not possible, it can only go foward. unless i missed something
You'll have to record several camera paths if you want to show the same thing 3 times, you're not able to loop back to the same section at all. Hope this helps. :)
Clutch tutorial m8!

Great camera tutorial. Much better than a certain other person :)

HA! Gotta try that !
This video will change my life
The power of cruise control compels you :)
how do you get the recordings you make ?
Awesome and this will help new players and me once i get a pc and nice sneak peek

Record the replay in full speed and then use slowmo when recording camera angles and such. The game is quite fussy when you record replays in slowmo.
For some reason, when i play the replay, there is no sound at all

I thought i was the only one who have this
@@legend_abel_5764 I've also discovered that if i shoot the replay from the driver pov view then the audio works just fine.
Perfect
I wish Ai would copy exact inputs. I feel like that would make this much easier. Maybe make it a separate tool from the normal one.

No problem! I made a help video for a reason. :) Have a great day yourself.

I love it and everything but how do you turn these files into MP4s?
The trailer one helped me because it was really annoying trying to find out how to do both (Idk why)
Glad it helped :)
