When I was younger I played this so intently, switching off with my brother and just going through the story and all the side content. We had so much fun that I can still remember the smell of the room and the heat on the tv when we would put a blanket behind us and behind the tv so we didn’t get caught playing when it was bed time. Lost him 5 years ago this October and the music to this game just makes me feel like he’s still there, making jokes about Dekar and Guy. I’d give anything just to sit back with him and some snes controllers and relive what I always took for granted
Lamento sua perda. Essas músicas e jogos não são apenas jogos, são transportes pra infância. Jogava de madrugada no meu quarto morrendo de medo da minha mãe acordar e me dar bronca
0:00 Lufia - The battle of the Island in the Void 2:43 Lufia - Last Battle 5:44 Lufia II - The Saviour of Those on Earth 10:22 Lufia - Overworld 13:34 Lufia II - Boss Battle 17:55 Lufia II - Sinistral Battle
Very minor nitpick, the Lufia II - Boss Battle starts at 13:25, which is significant enough to point out on your timestamps. It's appreciated regardless, and thank you for covering such an amazing game!
I wish more people would have had the chance to enjoy this this rpg title back in the day, it wasnt well known in the early times, but for those who played Lufia it was well received and mentioned amongst groups of rpg players quiet alot. Beautiful work Lara! as well as an honorable mention to Ninjafish for the superb video editing!
I jumped on it when it first came out (as there wasn't a lot of choices back then) and I loved it. The way they it opened with the final battle of the previous generation was mind blowing at the time, you got to control a high leveled party right from the start as a nice "tutorial". And I loved how Lufia 2 was able to tie directly into that in its final dungeon. Not to mention it had a great soundtrack and some rocking boss battle themes.
Agreed, most people have played Dragon Warrior (quest) and Final Fantasy... but those games had be getting my hands on any rpg I could. Lufia will always be one of my favorites!. Fantastic music, great story, (and grindy as hell, but I like that)
I knew this game had to be good before I tried it. It was rented out at the local video store for what seemed like months before I could give it a try. Loved it ever since.
Lara learned these songs by ear live after listening to the track. She listened, made up her own arrangement in a few minutes, and played it back. So it's even more impressive than it appears. Join us on Twitch!
Yea! That last theme after the final fight.. when Maxim is alone trying to save the land.. while his ____ was dying.. Oh, MAN!! It gives me goose bumps to this day! Dayum....... 😭😭😭
The SNES Lufia games have been favorites of mine since 1993 and 1996. The music from these games has always been something I enjoyed greatly. You did a hell of a job on this. Thank you very much.
It's been a long time since i played Lufia 1 and 2 but i remember only caring for one of the songs (cant remember which one anymore). They were all "alright" imo but not as memerable as the likes of CT, SotN, or MMX osts. But dang, Lara, this is a great cover. I liked every sings track you played. Def wouldve elevated the game if they had your covers playing back then
Thank you! Lufia was the first RPG I ever played and while it is very inferior to the masterpiece Lufia II it will never be forgotten. Anyone who didnt shed a tear during Lufia II ending? The Saviour of those on Earth combined with the event are so touching! To me Lufia II is up there with Chrono Trigger and FF III (6) as the best RPG's on the SNES, while alot less recognized so for retro-players, dont miss out!
Amazing! One of my favourite childhood games and ''The Saviour of Those on Earth'' and the boss battle theme are easily some of the best pieces of gaming music. So glad you played them :)
Lara, I have followed your music for quite a while, your incredible appetite to play such a brilliant array of music of many various genera is beyond my comprehension. All I know is your exceptionally talented, there are many such talents such as your co artist Taylor Davis, Young Karolina Protsenko, Emanne Beasha, Lindsey Sterling all of which are exceptionally gifted. You all bring delight and such pleasure into many many peoples lives. Keep it up your a real star.
The Lufia games were a couple of my favorites as a kid, and I've replayed them numerous times since then. Got chills. I wish more people knew about these amazing games and their intensely-cool music.
Incredibly appreciated. Yasunori Shiono is a genius. The Guard Daos theme, the Sinistral Battle theme, the Boss theme from Lufia 2...these slap SO HARD.
Lara, thank you for this. These games hold a special place in my heart and this is now a set that I switch with for sleep. You are so talented and I love this rendition.
This is incredible. I prefer Lufia 2, but only because it was the first one I played and nostalgia is a hell of a thing. I'll look for it in your other videos! Edit: it appears this is a mix of both and I commented too quickly. Thank you so much!
Nice covers. I had to pick up my acoustic guitar and jam along. I have lots of nostalgia with Lufia 1 and 2. My first full experience with rpgs when i was 11 or 12. I miss the 90's.
I think this might be my first comment ever on any channel and I came here to thank you and praise you. This is also the first video I’ve seen of yours and I’m just blown away. I could write an essay, and to simply say, my spirit feels so much better. Thank you for sharing this with us!
Lufia and the Fortress of Doom is probably my favorite game that many people diss and talk crap about. The game is awesome, I don't care what anybody says. It has a fun and addictive combat system, the music is awesome, the sounds enemies make when they die are awesome, the game has some decent challenge, and you feel awesome when you learn to overcome those challenges, esp when you hand a boss his butt when most people can't even survive the first couple bosses, it's just quite the trip. The normal battle theme, though, is probably one of my favorite but I don't think that song would translate well to a piano which is probably why she didn't play it.
She plays everything, battle theme was just never requested for her to play on stream. I thought the boss themes were a little better so I got those. If those translated, I'm sure the battle theme would too :) Especially the Lufia 2 one
@@ninjafish8629 Well, the Lufia 2 battle theme has more... of a pronounced melody playing behind the guitar riffs, where the Lufia 1 battle theme is just... it's hard to describe. I dunno, maybe she could surprise me who knows. lol. She's done some awesome stuff for sure.

Lufia 2 is one of the greatest rpgs of all time with dank music. Ur renditions on point
Old SNES RPG have such beautiful OST.

I'm sorry for your loss. Hope you are doing well.
Your loss is saddening, but your memories of him are so powerful. You moved me. Please stay strong, and give Lufia II another playthrough for him.

Lufia and it's sequel were so damn good.

Seeing Lufia - The Last Battle layered sure does seem to confirm an influence from Paint it Black

@@neoasura Lufia definitely stood out, I think it could have possibly been the first rpg game to spark the idea of the new game+ in the genre.

The Last Battle theme is probably the best dungeon theme ever written.
Agreed. I'd also argue the sinistral battle theme is probably the best boss theme ever.

Love when there are multiple Lara's! Thank you for sharing your talents!!🤩🧅🥰
Thank you for your constant support 🎉❤
Oh, the music. So many childhood memories. Thank you for this :)
LOVE THIS the original game has such iconic music - your Prologue of Peril was excellent
Thanks for doing Lufia 2 music it was a epic game that I played through about 4 times. The overworld theme was pretty memorable to me.

One of my all-time favorite VG music.... right up there with FF6.
Woaaa didn't expect to have a collection of awesome track like that. One of my favorite game! Thanks for the collection :)
Listening to this at full speed was so good. Listening at .75x speed was... an experience. Highly recommend. Lara is crazy talented.
Thanks for putting this up and to whoever edited the video. Wonderful listen!

Thank you for playing both boss battle 2 and sinistral battle ❤
Wow, this is by far the best version of this soundtrack i've ever heard
Glad it's being found. The algorithm didn't know where to find Lufia fans at the start
I don't need to know the game to love this ❤

Truly remarkable on how she turn the ost into a timeless master piece!

I still haven't played Lufia, but it is on my list.
Start yesterday ;)
Ooh that's good Saviour.
this is amazing! i need to find the superfami game again and perhaps this time i will finally properly finish it.
Wonderful content, Miss the '''Iris Theme''
Would be great if you can make arrangements for Lufia 3 ost series. That game got really good chiptunes for Gameboy color
