That’s why the mcu is a double edged sword. I’m both a marvel and dc fan so Im just glad that superheroes are getting a lot of attention period. I’m thankful that it’s put superheroes on the map. It’s now cooler to be into superheroes than it was, say, 20 years ago. However, the mcu has created people who only have watched the movies and think they know everything about superheroes, some even going as far to say that DC is bad in EVERY form of media just because their movies aren’t as consistent as the mcu, which is just unfair.
I am disappointed in my DC representatives... These are terrible DC supporters... MARVEL CAME WITH PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE!!!!!

You can clearly see the more mature people like DC. As a kid when reading comics I liked marvel a bit more than DC. As I grew older, having darker themed stories and more realistic approaches made me love DC way more. That is when I really started to get involved with a lot of dc characters

I've also noticed the personality type difference between DC fans and marvel fans among my friends and relatives! I've been a DC fan all my life. I liked spiderman very much when I was younger but now it is getting faded a little bit. This is not disrespecting any people. But I find more introverted people are DC fans and extroverts are more marvel.
I was ready to argue so hard against the cheesy "superman crashes through buildings" argument but was so disappointed when the "DC fans" just glossed over it

TV shows Marvel (Netflix shows plus those coming to Disney plus with movie sized budgets?) No contest although arrowverse was fun.and watchmen is cool but marvel's library is just too good.
Comics : before DC moped the floor with marvel but lately people don't realise marvel has been selling more comics than DC for years now. But since I grew up on Batman and lantern I'll still go DC
Animation :DC easy,love their anime style action
Individual characters : Superman,Batman,ww and joker have carried DC to iconic characters status but marvel also had spidey, wolverine,Doom and Galactus with equally iconic status. But today marvel's heroes just dominate public knowledge to the point where even Thor is as popular as Superman and cap is as popular as Batman with heroes like strange known worldwide and Thanos and loki are just everywhere these days so easy point marvel
Super teams : DC has the iconic JL as well as teen Titans, SS,bop, injustice league and many other iconic names but they're shouded in obscurity. Marvel has fantastic four,X-Men,x-force,new mutants, runaways,inhumans(lol), guardians, defenders,avengers exposed to public knowlage with others still in obscurity too like alpha flight,Thunderbolts etc
It even bothers me the coolest army in all comics the lanterns even after a movie don't get the recognition they deserve,also they have the most iconic weapons in all comics more iconic than mjolnir or even the infinity gauntlet yet people don't talk about them as much.
Give credit where it's due and Marvel took a risk and it made them not just catch up to the competition but is currently beating them, hopefully I'll get my lantern trilogy or finally see braniac

Dc is about gods trying to be human. All of them are basically invincible, and in reality with any level of scrutiny thier powers and abilities fall apart. Nobody can really relate to any of dcs characters as much as marvels. Marvel is about people who get the powers of gods. They are flawed, and more diverse, and interesting even outside of their powers and abilities.
Dcs best and most beloved character follows this same pattern. Batman is the most interesting and compelling character dc has because he has no powers except money and dedication.
One is about people, the other is about powers.
DC has better comics,tv series, animation, graphic novels and games...Marvel only has better movies
