- PlasGwyn now have TWO choppers, the work on offer being too much even for the mighty Krone! See the addition in my next video with PlasGwyn. Here we see the pit on the latest farm being dealt with by two JCBs, our old friend Mark is on his 416 and the other is a TM 310.
Filmed in Carmarthenshire, Wales, UK.
I've never seen this before...what a huge pit, really great too see this. Soo much grass.
Yes, there's so much grass that some farmers have a full clamp and are having to bale the rest.
A farmer nearby Luttenberg have this. I saw it once.
Nice one Alan,thank you.
Them JCBs are like two hungry lions moving in for the kill!
Yes, quite predatory!

Thanks Sebi.
Nice Alan. They make short work of each load alright!
Yes, almost too short? You need lots of trundling up and down for compression . .
balmesh Yes, they may have wanted a tractor too for rolling while no loads were coming?
Nice video. Don't see this that much. In Holland I saw this only once before.
Thank you. Usually Volvos or similar in Holland?
Well it's differend, Volvo, Case, Liebherr and Tractors. But i mean the way the pit is into the hall. Don't see it here pretty much in Holland.

Nice video Alan! This word more often applied in Wales pits in a shed?
Clamps (pit is not always appropriate) are in sheds quite often here as it saves a lot of covering up from the rain.

Thank you Alan, now I understand why.
they still put plastic on it right?
Yes.

Is the grass very wet? Does it begin to decompose if stored for a certain time?
+Timothy Kush
No it's not very wet. No it doesn't decompose, it ferments into silage which is nutricious and tasty for cattle and sheep.
Thanks for the response!
