Doctor Shovi eating nachos after being scared. 😅
That was definitely a sketchy entrance/exit. It was worth it once you were in the maze of icebergs. 🤯
Thanks for looking out for your fellow cruisers and alerting the authorities for help. And, thanks for taking me to somewhere I will never go.

Sohvi is not only one of TH-cam's coolest sailors, but also one of the cutest. Such stupid comments are nothing to worry about. Fantastic video with incredibly beautiful pictures! And then not only Sohvi, but also the landscape, sparse colors that are rendered wonderfully. Many thanks for what you do and really hope you can continue 😃💕⛵

I like to think of it as a division-of-labor kind of thing where videographers go out and explore for us at home to experience vicariously (done plenty of travel myself, just other stuff).
Also, through technological advancement this has been sort of democratized (it used to be that one dude and his team filming for national broadcast associations) so we can pick whos interpretation we like best.
And yes, at the other end of this technological liberation is the fact that humans are vain and you get the desaster that is selfie traffic jams in randomly beautiful but ultimately rural spots.

That's a superb episode - the videography and your choice of very subtle music really conveys the environment brilliantly. I also love the originality of the aluminium prints - SO much better to be using your creativity rather than taking the convenient option of paid product placement.

I usually watch your videos from another channel, but just wanted to say how much I love them. Your videos are always breathtaking, and you both have a nicely ironic and laid-back delivery that as a Brit, I really appreciate lol.
We looked at your beautiful prints - actually really fair prices and shipping isn’t that bad, so we’re tempted. Talking about it now…
How on earth do you choose only 3 shots?! Must be impossible…you always have such beautiful footage, you could have a million choices.
Keep up the good work and thank you both for making this lovely channel. It’s always a treat to see your videos pop up… 👏 🧊 ⛵️

Something like 20 years ago, I did two paddling trips. One in Icy Bay, and one out of Petersburg up LeConte Bay. There were definitely a couple times where we were very concerned about having the pack close in behind us due to currents and tides.
Not something to be cavalier about.

Hi, Adding my voice to all the people enjoying seeing Sohvi back. Knowing and caring to coordinate her hat, bag, and I'm sure her gloves too, even in the back waters of Alaska, that's the sign of a real, proper Lady.
By the way, I'm so grateful that you are doing this, So I don't have to. I love seeing the sights but I cant stand the cold. I do live in the country next to the one you guys hail from, and spent my first summer in Råneå skärgård, and am now trying to go somewhere tropic for the winter. Yours, Ann

For the 9:30 time. There is a Norwegian saying, which probably is also known in Finland. It is never too late to give up. Which means that if any adventure or challenge is too risky it is not at all a shame to give up and turn back. Better safe than sorry. You have made the right choice to not stress that entrance against the glacier river.

Please, don't take this the wrong way.
You have excellent drone and photography skills. You go to places 99.9% of us never will, and you document them beautifully.
But why limit us to your choices?
I'd be interested in buying a print if it was one I could choose.
Is there anyway you could present us a selection of images and let us vote on the ones we want to buy?
Limit the run to 3 or 4 of the highest voted images, but let us choose from all the stunning shots you produce

I spent a summer in Seward. Juho's photography is gorgeous, but you really can't replicate the blues of the ice. Truly surreal, the air itself is actually blue, especially as the sun gets lower. And the scale of the mountains along that coastline is epic & equally difficult to convey. All you can do is undersell it like they both do here; it's humbling and truly awe-inspiring.

I’ve only watched half of the episodes so far I have to say that it’s actually one of your best, as far as shear adventure. Seward Alaska is a pretty cool spot. My ex girlfriend and her friends owned a large sailboat there and used to do the local yacht club races. It can get quite windy there.
Looking forward to the episode, showing the rescue. There are several things that I take whenever I go to Scheurer here in Southeast Alaska. One of those being a waterproof handheld VHF radio in a waterproof bag, my Delorme inreach Satellite communicator, a small airhorn, extra water and snacks, and, of course, a canister of bear spray. All of this goes into a dry bag. It looks like the people who you helped rescue didn’t have back up means of communication and that is always a big mistake here in Alaska.
Glad to see you and Sohvi stop and rethink your expedition to the glacial outflow river. An inflatable dinghy is not the very best thing to take for something like that. If I were going to do that myself, I would be in a small aluminum dinghy with an outboard jet drive engine. I owned a 16 foot dinghy with a 50 horse outboard that had a jet drive on it, and I could take it Over wet sand if I had enough speed. Plus, the aluminum was pretty bulletproof. Nonetheless, you were smart to use your oars while around those icebergs. I don’t know if those icebergs were floating or not but if they were floating, just remember, icebergs will flip sometimes.

In the future, if you want to move a boat along the shore like at 10:15 you can tie a long line to the rear of the boat and another to the bow on the side closest to you pull the rear line toward where you want to go and the bow will move out away from shore. Balance the tendency of the bow to move away with the forward line. It's an old canoeing trick that can save you wading in the water

How to get off that berth? Rig a bow spring and motor forward against it, release the stern line, then, when you're happy your stern is out far enough go into neutral, cast off the spring and motor astern to exit. Headsail leech flapping? Move the car forward. Taking your dinghy to potentially dangerous places? Have an anchor ready and a spare prop for the outboard. Good luck...

I think you may have cured the fluttering leech on the genoa if the sheet car had been moved forward a little. The theory goes that if the car is right there is no need to use any foot or leech line for tension to correct the lack of equal pressure as the air flow leaves the sail. Obviously, it is a constantly changing issue as the wind strength changes so not a cure-all.

Well that ‘not super happy about it’ face was quite believable and understandable. Also love both of y’all’s ‘pretty impressed’ faces. Handsome n pretty.

Dude took my “money shot“ comment seriously and turned the shot into money, the print on demand feature makes this a very valid product and you have soo many great shots to pick from!

Awesome prints!! I will seriously think about one. I like the ice one. I’m moving so I may have to wait but there are beautiful. Thank you for sticking with your dreams. I remember the early days of your production and I was impressed then and so much more now!! Thank you ❤. 🇨🇦
