this was my most favorite song from 2023. everything about this song is incredibly catchy, the blasting taiko beats, the funky guitar, wilkes’ bass, and the beautiful vocals/lyrics layered on top. feels like a futuristic bon dance. i’m so happy for their debut and look forward to more music from them

このジェンダーフリーの時代にふさわしくない言い方だけど、この歌詞は男には絶対書けないって思った。
長谷川白紙って、二元的なジェンダーの基準撹乱させているスタイルよね。母なるものと父なるものから逃避することで、独特の世界が作り上げている。まるで抽象的で誰にも届かない塔みたいなのをひたすら天に向かって伸ばしてるみたい。そんな白紙自体が自身の母なるものを抑圧することができずに、母なる大地から沸き起こる母性的な肉体感覚と言ってもいいものに引き戻されるのが、とても皮肉めいてて生々しい。
