I have to agree with Rico about having real windows that face the front of the boat. I realize the painted ones are to make the boat look better if it doesn't have the windows but I definitely prefer the real thing. I also like the outside day head so you don't have to go inside if you spilled dish guts all over yourself! I also like the freshwater shower which probably comes in handy more times than one would think. Great tour as always, thank you!
Mikelson does a clean layout with utilizing space! I was blown away under the stairs and the hidden freezer. I saw the hidden tackle storage last video which is great. Rico you’re lucky guy too 😉🤙✌️

It's a shower, it's freshwater... Your camerman is getting very big for his loafers! I can not believe how many rails for people like me who need help plus the amount of storage in & out... Mikelson have got it all so right... Top quality equipment, real staircases, loads of room.. & the best people to tour the boat & bring it to us on video!!! If I were in the market for a sports boat this would be it! Oh & a large fridge, & great wood well finished with rounded edges & corners, an engine room that has no wasted space but loads of room, oh & that fridge/freezer under the seat!!!!! That's the perfect boat I want ,when I win the lottery. Perfect size and setup to live on. This has been the best boat for me that I've seen since watching your channel.
Another great Mikelson! I liked the passive-set drawers, the sneaky seat-freezer, generous fishing gear storage, and generally sensible level of equipment. It's functional in all the right ways, and not wasting your time with cluttered bells & whistles you don't need. It looks comfy and casual without wasting weight coddling you more than a sport boater would have use for. Mass is energy, and you pay for that equation at both ends, yah? The more you carry, the more you have to push, the slower and deeper you go, and more you consume. It's like the "Rocket Equation" for boats. You can be a little spartan without crying for misery. Still a hell of a lot more cushy accommodations than pitching a tent and hiking the mountain, but it's similar kinds of people who may do both. For example, the 2-burner stove and modest convection oven is all you're really going to need. I could do Thanksgiving feast for eight people with that galley. For a fisher, the ice-maker and those big catch-lockers (and the seat freezer for bagged fillets) are what matter more. That "salt-head" on the aft fishing deck is likewise appropriate, but it doesn't need marble counters or stained glass windows, just a place to duck in for a minute. Stats/application: The modest 3''6" draft, economical 600nm 10kn cruise range (that's two and a half days of chug-travel and trolling time!), 200gal fresh water, and on-demand 30kn emergency "haul-ass out of storm's way" all make this ideal for regional ranges and events, and still get you into a lot of close quarters where the channel fish are lurking if you're into that style. For a weekender, it's definitely got the overall capacity for a load-n-go without needing a bunch of stops for supplies along the way. It's also got the speed and power for goofing around locally with family/friends watersports or quick runs out to open water. Clearly, the Mikelsons know their business and their customers. Another great tour of a very practical vessel! I picked up a couple new features ideas from this one, actually, so thanks much for continuing to bring us the gathered wisdom of so many clever designers!
20:52 Yes, do it. But I had a vertical deep freeze buried under the floor and some food items I needed to tether with a cord so they weren't such a pain to pull them up. Also kept a long extension set of channel locks to pick bags. Of course it's for long term storage.
Very nicely laid out for its size and very nice that the enclosed helm is upstairs. Giving the feeling of more living space overall. Rico good catch on the transom rails sitting offset to the transom, that is a great design idea. Interesting video...

Now _THAT_ is a well designed Sport Fisher! The main thing I've disliked about this style is the lack of a secure walkway from the cockpit to the bow, and the owner of this Mikelson took care of that. Of course it HELPED that the boat already has a decently wide walkway that (probably) just needed to have rails specified. I was as shocked as Rico appeared to be at the sheer size of the engine compartment! Of course they gained some of that space by putting the Seakeeper, batteries and fresh water equipment forward under the salon deck. That's a _VERY_ slick trick with the mini freezer. . . Looking forward to hearing how your cruise went guys! Hopefully there will still be a country here when you get back to the mainland.
@5:30 maybe compared to similar boats that railing is great, but looking at you, 5'7" I believe you have said a number of times, that rail only comes up to your waist which means that it is at or below many people's waists which makes it easy to pitch you over the rail. Most railings that I see I wish that they were at least 4 feet high.
This yacht looks brand new. The vinyl covered cushions remind me of Skokie, Illinois in the 70's. The living rooms there had vinyl covered furniture, and you were never allowed to sit on them. It was a useless room in the house just for show. Very expensive for a 43 ft. These must be the Ferrari's of sportfisher yachts.
the ELECTRICAL STICKERS on boats shouldn't tell you only ''how energy efficient'' it is, but ALSO HOW MUCH OF YOUR GENERATOR IT USES when powered ON :) just a thing *I* would do if *I* were part of that *LOOP* ;)

I always wanted to know why do they paint the windows? That just doesn't make any sense to me. Why would you want to limit the sunlight and beauty of the ocean environment?
arizona has lakes and requires residents to register their motorcraft. it may just have been easier for the owner if they were a resident to register it in their home state then other places. registration can be done online after all for arizona residents
"Water Heater" NOT -- HOT water heater. maybe Cold Water Heater. do you heat Hot water or do you heat Cold Water.??? It starts with Cold water, heats it and provides Hot water. WATER HEATER. Please.
lots of people with money that take their kids and grandkids on fishing trips often have such luxury boats. its a weekend trip. of course a number are charter craft. that seakeeper unit is at least 15 grand with a lot of the bigger ones being up to 100k.

if you notice they said it had a seakeeper which reduces roll on avg by 80% but often people find it works at over 95% reduction.
