I'm really grateful for this video I was so scared of getting rejected in uni I got between 40-49% in math with an APS score of 32 . So now I will just apply for the extended bcom in uj . I actually have hope now coz I'm currently in matric
Hearing this is AMAZING! thanks so much. I really wnat to be a CA. I'm currently in Matric and my maths marks are slightly above the minimum requirement but I know with the competition it's hard to get in
Hi , i am a grade 12 learner i want to become a ca but my grade 11 final mathematics results are not good enough Can you please explain the difference between a diploma in accounting sciences , an advanced diploma in accounting and an extended accounting degree in accounting science
You’ll apply during the normal application period and because you’re already a student at Unisa, they will email you confirming the application and telling you that they will await your HC final results before they give you an outcome
HI there . Would just like to ask , could u please explain more about the diploma route . if i take the diploma route ,would i have to finish the full 3 year diploma programe or just do it for a year .( at UNISA)
With diploma route you could: 1. From UNISA - do the diploma in accounting science course (3years) then apply for the advanced diploma in accounting sciences (1 year). This programs bridges you to the CA stream ( you’ll basically be doing 3rd year modules of the bachelor of accounting science in financial accounting degree), after that you can apply for CTA/PGDA 2. From UJ - do the diploma in accounting ( 3 years) then do the advanced diploma in accounting (here you’ll be doing 3rd year modules of the NON-CA STREAM Bcom accounting degree). After that you’ll apply for the BCTA in which you’ll be bridging into the CTA stream. Once you’ve completed BCTA you can apply for CTA/PGDA Hope this helps
Hey I had another questions from the question you answered. How can you complete 1st and 2nd years of the degree at the same time and when you do so will it be in one year?.
Urhm unfortunately those university do not recognise higher certificate as a way to bridge into the degree…. I would say start the degree at Unisa then in 2nd year transfer to those universities but you won’t be credited for some modules and might need to repeat
...🥺😭i wanna venture into financial management..but ke I didn't do any financial subjects in high school 😭😔. Is all hope lost for me? Ndenze o EGD and civil technology ☹️
Hey my love there’s definitely hope for you!!! You can start with a higher certificate for one year (you don’t need to have a background in accounting or even had done the subject’s in high school). They also count APS score and it must be about 17 and that’s it!! After doing the higher certificate you’ll do Bachelor in financial management. If you need any other questions answered feel free to ask
Hey you said you can do diploma in accounting than do BCom in accounting sciences but i tried to apply they said diploma in accounting sciences is 8 years i didn't not see the one year choice
Hmm I think you should read that again because it says you have a window to finish it in 8years that’s if something happens and stops you from finishing it in record time.
@@theaccountinggirl oh so I can shift to BCom in accounting sciences after completing my one year in diploma in accounting sciences? If my Mark's are good?
Pleaseeee answer this question for me❤So let's say you meet the minimum requirement but get rejected because of the competition. Will they offer this extended program or 1 year bridging course or will they just reject you and you hve to look for these courses to apply to?
Hey, you’d actually have to apply for it as your second option on applications. If you’re accepted into it then they offer you space but you actually have to apply for it
Hey Andy you can apply for either the Higher certificate in Accounting sciences as first option and also apply for the BCOM degree as your second choice and see which one accepts you first since you already have a diploma.
You have many options but I would suggest do the higher certificate first because it helps prepare you for the degree as well and once you’re in the degree you can do first year and second year of the degree at the same time
Hi @accounting girl After I've completed with the higher certificate in accounting sciences Whats next... I wanna know if I'll be able to do bcom accounting
Bcom Accounting is next, I think it’s important to do your own research to avoid asking me what’s next hey. I think I have many video’s explaining the process
@@AndyAliy the short courses don’t contribute to getting into the undergrad, it has to be the higher certificate or diploma. I think they have applications for second semester but I’m not certain. Usually they open in August but for the next year
Hi. I passed my matric with a Bachelor but I passed one subject with a level 2 (my total APS is 28) Do I still qualify for an Extended Bcom degree at Unisa? And does the fact that my aps is 28 mean that I am not smart enough to study for an Extended Bcom and should just consider other courses?
Hey, unfortunately I’m not privy to that information because I’m also not a student advisor so please read under the specific degrees on the unisa Site 🙏🏾
Unisa doesn't offer extended degree programs, but rather a higher certificate, obviously both are still serve the same purpose. You do qualify for it and you are smart enough for anything. I'm doing my second year in a degree and I started with a higher certificate too because my Maths is 32%
Hey, I also got the same percentage in Math and I am asking myself if the course doesn't have heavy Mathematics and did you do Accounting in high school?@@sanelepnuel2448

NorthWest University also offers an extended degree in Chartered Accountancy

Hi , i am a grade 12 learner i want to become a ca but my grade 11 final mathematics results are not good enough
Can you please explain the difference between a diploma in accounting sciences , an advanced diploma in accounting and an extended accounting degree in accounting science
Hi Karabo,
Thank you for this!
If you don't t mind me asking, how exactly can one apply for bcom whilst studying the HC in accounting science?
You’ll apply during the normal application period and because you’re already a student at Unisa, they will email you confirming the application and telling you that they will await your HC final results before they give you an outcome
Hi Shantell I hve a few questions regarding the HC course , where can I get hold of you ?
Hi Bonolo, my apologies for the late response. I just saw this now.
Still want to get ahold of me or did you manage?
Hello ..if you doing an extended course under bcom accounting science how one can be funded
HI there . Would just like to ask , could u please explain more about the diploma route . if i take the diploma route ,would i have to finish the full 3 year diploma programe or just do it for a year .( at UNISA)
Hi there, I don’t know if could be of any help because I don’t know anything or much about that route
With diploma route you could:
1. From UNISA - do the diploma in accounting science course (3years) then apply for the advanced diploma in accounting sciences (1 year). This programs bridges you to the CA stream ( you’ll basically be doing 3rd year modules of the bachelor of accounting science in financial accounting degree), after that you can apply for CTA/PGDA
2. Once you’ve completed BCTA you can apply for CTA/PGDA
Hope this helps
Hey I had another questions from the question you answered.

I am not so sure how to answer this but you’d be doing modules from first year and 2nd year at the same time
Thank you
Can i do bcom accounting with maths literacy?
Hey Precious you definitely can! You’d have to do the higher certificate first then go into the Bcom degree 💕
♥️♥️
did you use this method to get to university ?❤️
Yes I did
What if you do higher certificate at unisa and then u wanna go to uj or up after completing the 10 modules, do they take you accept you?
If yes like what are the steps that u need to take after completing your exams on second semester?
