Dead Space (1991) is actually a remake of a older film called Forbidden World, which was made near the release of Alien to capitalise on it's success. The film was produced by Roger Corman, who would release more sleazy and violent low budget movies near the release of a higher budget movie (for example, Carnosaur near Jurassic Park's release). So that's were the Xenomorph influence comes from. It's also worth noting that a lot of huge directors, such as Martin Scorsese and Francis Ford Coppola, got their start through Roger Corman.
for the comics , i understood it's a sci-fi sequel of 30 days of night, a particularly original comic , which took place in a alaskan town where a vampires community profit of the long nights to satisfy their thirst or growing up their group , and they're in a true war against the human survivors. the comic has been adapted in movie too, which i learn was very good.
roger cornan is more important than most know. ive watched so many of his movies growing up and had no clue. he is the equivalent of indy games to triple A games. sometimes a lower budget makes for a better product.
Remake of what excuse me ? Do u realise theres like 1000 movies about a monster, runing in a lab and killing people. How can this be a remake of an exact, specific movie, theres literally thousands like this.
Imagine if it turned out at the end of dead space 1 there were no necromorphs and isaac had infact been hellucinating that the crew were necromorphs and was killing innocent people who were also hellucinating like him.
I feel like at least one or two of the game developers saw one of these and took some inspiration from them especially one with the vampires and make the Dead Space we all know. May not be true but the one with the vampires in space sounds very similar to the neomorphs, though with no Marker.
How crazy would it be to see Bryan Cranston to live action version of the game. I wonder if an actor has done a movie of the same name but different concept.
@@iCookCrystalMeth it might just be because of the worn out setting of walking dead but I could totally picture him as Isaac getting progressively sickly and tired looking like he is in later seasons of walking dead. I could totally see him as dead space 2 straight jacket Isaac looking how he does when negan is making him cut off Carl's arm. Also how in the deadspace 3 trailer gunner Wright looks really similar to him, and seeing as how the new Isaac's face is gunner Wrights it just makes sense to me
I love Dead Space when it came out in 2008. I remember spending $100 bucks at Blockbuster that day. Game=$64.49, Snacks=couple of bucks.. then I bought a Microsoft points card when that was still a thing so I could get extra dlc that released without the game. I think it was just some suit skins an weapon skins. But That was a well spent 100 bucks! I played the Hell outta Dead Space 2008 on my bastard Xbox 360 that I had modded with extra fans and leds. Cause that damn red ring shit!
I haven’t played the remake yet, but at the beginning of the video I struggled to figure out if that was gameplay from the original dead space or if it was from the remake. A testament to the quality of the original release.
The mysterious woman is a vampire and infected Cobb. Apologies, I think I was going to mention it when the government confirmed vampires were on Earth, just forgot to write it into the script.
That old movie, had good actors and a good plot, despite the limited special effects, that were good for the time, otherwise, today we have poor actors, very bad plots and generally good special effects.
I hate this "Old good new bad" mentality people have, you're wrong. There's plenty of great movies with great special effects released today, y'all can only focus on the bad and never the good. Fucking hate when people spout this illegitimate horse shit.
Horror movies are not always meant to be scary. My only critique of your critique. Aside from that I enjoyed your video and Dead Space is my favorite horror game of all time. I remember in 2008 when I was fresh in high school when it came out. I was floored by it haha
I don't understand how could any creature move a muscle let alone survive in minus 270 Celsius. I know the horror genre was never known for it's logic, but I hate how stupid they always make it.
I love the 30 days of night movie though the sequel was disappointing, I wish they make another sequel adapting the dead space storyline. Space vampires may sound very bizarre but it is actually a cool concept.

Neither it is "one of the best horror games of all time" and neither "one of EA's most popular titles", stop making an elephant out of mouse, you know only advertisement by sellers.
it is definitely one of their most popular titles, if not why would they remaster it. so many people love this game and do say it is one of the best horror games of all time. you just seem to think opinions are fact
@@mookduds402 Definitely it's not. It barely sold 2 m copies upon release which is far cry from most popular EA's titles. Next, about being "one of the greatest horror games of all time" - if you think there are 100 of those games, then yes, but if you narrow down to 10-15 titles, then no, it's not.

That is pretty much how Dead Space Extraction for the Wii U plays out. For the first chapter at least.
Dead space extraction plays like that in the beginning, that's one of the first stages of the outbreak
So….Afraid of Monsters’ plot?
That's gotta be the most cliched theory and story twist at this point.
