I will say this: even if he missed the drivers playoffs, he did get the 9 car into the round of 8 in the owners playoffs so…this year wasn’t a complete failure, I suppose.
His season wasn't even as bad as people think it was. Kinda like Kyle Busch in 2020. It was lackluster for his standards but not objectively terrible. In season long standings he was 15th and if he didn't miss any races and scored the same amount of points every race, he would have been 10th.
@@BrettMKWexactly, his objective and motivation was pretty much gone after he wasn't able to win or make up enough points to catch up, if he wasn't injured he would've surely made it into the Round of 8
Well, I'm an Elliott fan. I know, he didn't mean to get this kind of injury. However, I feel like because of this, there needs to be a new rule in NASCAR. The Rule - For drivers who are at least in the Truck Series, isn't pulling double-duty or even triple-duty (In ARCA), and is part of a team that competes in a "x" amount of races, CANNOT race or perform in extreme sports during the NASCAR Season. The Only Exception - This goes to the ARCA Menards Series and even the Truck Series (Due to less races, a more spread-out schedule, and even part-time or underfunded drivers/teams). If a driver is injured four (4) or less weeks from the first race of the season, it will depend on how many races they miss (One race a week). However, if they can race, they will need a relief driver from a Smaller or Part-Time team of that Series or a Full-Time team of a Lower Series (Cup gets Another Cup Driver or an Xfinity Driver, with thesame goes towards Xfinity, Trucks and ARCA).
As a chase fan I Knew a bad season was coming at Some point.. it was bound to happen. It was Inevitable Ever since he came back from his Leg injury. This team just Didn't had any Winning Pace whatsoever.. top 10 sure. But The winning speed just wasn't there.. even before and after the Incident with Hamlin. Speaking of that hamlin incident.. one thing that just Annoys me about that Incident is how.. Chase got Suspended for what happened at Charlotte not Trying to Defend what Chase did. Btw. Honestly, Chase has lost a lot. He caught a lucky break in 2000, then Larson came and took everything, even the road courses. Then Willy B showed up. I think it kills him inside that Larson is the leader of HMS.

It wasn’t a bad year by any means. When he was in the car. When you miss 7 races and then don’t win you’re not going to do crap.
It was bad period - No wins since October 2022 - No Playoffs, Lousy lack of Top 5 Finishes, etc
He still had The 4th Best Average Finish
That ok all athletes go through it at some point. But 2024 chase will win the championship
I mean he did have the 5th highest average finish
Nobody’s fault but his, he’s no better than Hamlin, Bubba or anyone. I’m of course talking about Charlotte, can’t control a broken leg
Have a season like blaney
Win nothing this season while the next win a championship
Glad the season is over
17th in points
7 top 5s
15 top 10s

Bad - No Wins, No Playoff Spot, Single Digit Top 5's, etc
