For all you can say about Paul Menard being sponsored by the family company. I give them every bit of credit staying around as a sponsor in the cup series and doubly so as the Arca title sponsor.

Given Loganos age and the fact that Penske leverages the sponsorship to service their fleet of box trucks nationwide. Logano and Shell/Pennzoil could easily reach 20 years together. Its going to be iconic, if it isn't already.

Dupont/Gordon and FedEx/Hamlin both went 18 years. But nothing beats Miller Lite/Penske for 27 years.

It is close, but I'd have to say Jeff Gordon. He's the only one to rival Dale Sr., but that shouldn't take away anything that "The Intimidator" did. Jeff Gordon just had that little thing called "consistency", but Dale Earnhardt was still somewhat consistent and competitive from 1993 to 2000, since Gordon was slowly surpassing him in that timeframe.

I feel like to help the playoffs, NASCAR should keep the win and you're in to the playoffs, taking all winners and the rest of the top 16 in points for the 16 driver playoff field. However, keep it only the 16 drivers throughout the 10 playoff races, with points and consistency now being more important. Whoever has earned the most points at the end of the playoffs between the 16 playoff drivers is the champion.

The single lugnut wasn't introduced for cost saving. It was introduced because a 5 lug nut system can not handle the new aluminum wheels because of how heavy it is, and the wheels are aluminum because it's one of the only material that can handle being that big

That being said, Gordon still finished top 10 in points (7th, 3rd, 9th) in 08-10. His injured years were still better than most drivers prime years. His talent level was so much more above the competition, it was not even fair.

Gordon had back issues before the Vegas wreck. He had a bad 1 at Pocono much like Jimmie bur with left side in to the wall.
