I watch so many travel vlogs that , of course, I'm seeing the same locations over and over again. I think what makes a great episode is listening to the banter, seeing the realities on the road and the crazy things that happen along the way ( I'm sure there are many) . To me , that's become the difference between watching a travel vlog that only has great photography and locations and those that show the more human elements of their journey.

Funny, it’s the same in the US, free camp spots are much harder to find on the east coast. Out west is much easier and more affordable.

well now we saw 2 campsites, so it worked out nicely. Love the openness of the farm and trees and white cattle.
Really enjoyed this vlog. Loved the raw side of life. Totally agree that some people are clueless and unthinking camping soooo close. Always anxious late in the day waiting for the idiot to arrive and camp next to you. And yes Hipcamps are becoming too expensive for what you get. Thanks for your honesty.

Surfing is an adiction😉, yep it sure is!
Ive been surfing for well over 40 years, I am so lucky to live a 5 minute walk to the surf. When I am home, a day doesnt start until the surf has been checked.

yes, love the raw travel vlog. I also love curating a cinematic vlog but the raw ones really show peoples personalities and the realness that's missing on the internet. Great vlog.

Thanks folks...enjoyed the "raw" format....always good to see 'the other side' of your travels. Great to see the change of rig is working out well for you. I liked your comment re the cost of parks and camping spots.....it is not just on the east coast, it seems to be the same in most areas now. Hopefully it doesn't get too ridiculous. I have seen reports from some travellers where some towns are setting aside areas where people can park up for a day or two and the towns benefit because those who stay there tend to spend at local business to 'repay' the hospitality. Cheers for now ..stay safe and well.
Thanks so much for the feedback Ian! We think we’ll do more of these types of vlogs 😊 and yeah we’ve loved staying at designated free camps near towns, and always make sure to go get a pie or coffee to support the town! Definitely a great option for both the travellers and towns 🙌🏼
Loved this style of video. It almost feels like I'm there too 😊 and so shocking how expensive campsites are now since covid, and how difficult it is to find a free camp in a lot of areas now. Still, there's nothing better than being on the road!

caba is always busy regardless of the conditions, used to be nice and quiet point break up until a few years ago.
Yeah we’ve definitely noticed all of these small beach towns aren’t so small anymore, especially after covid 🥲

Yeah it’s pretty crazy what some places get away with charging! We’re missing SA and the NT low-cost and free camps so much!
This was a great video, very entertaining. We are full time van lifers since December and haven’t paid for a campsite yet thanks to Wiki camps. Thanks for the video ❤

The format was good. Always nice to keep it real. Very relatable, but a bad surf is always better than no surf :-). Rarely do you get out of the water regretting the plunge. Keep up the good work. S2S short film was good also. They do make great gear, but often a bit pricey. What is it they say? “The poor man pays twice”?
So true! We probably should’ve gone out, would’ve been nice to get in the water regardless! Yeah we’ve definitely learned the hard way to get quality gear at the start instead of trying to save and end up spending more 😅

Without a doubt its becoming harder and harder. $60 bucks is insane pure greed post covid prices. Anything near the beach is just expensive and as a surfer aswel we just have to cop it 😂. Awsome video guys happy travels! yewwwwww🤙🤙

Hey guys, how do you go with the rooftop tent if you get multiple days of rain, if you have to pack it up wet, does it soak through your tent? Always wondered what happened when you guys get real bad weather
Good question! We’ve actually never had any leaks or moisture get in the tent, even if the outside is wet, the way it packs down makes it easy to keep it dry. We do try to air it out whenever possible though. Not sure how other tents go but we love ours!
