Love you to bits boykie. You're an absolute pleasure to watch and listen to. When you get emotionally it causes the flood gates to open. You are such an emotionally and caring person and we love you for that. Thanks for being YOU! Love you!
Wow! I didn’t even know this place existed 🤯 Awesome video as always, Byron - beautifully filmed and shared… You’re a master storyteller! I can’t wait for your next WildWild Journey…which might just be your wildest one yet 😉
Hi Villiers, Byron spoke with high praise about you. We would love to have you at Mapesu to show you around. Looking forward to watching the upcoming @TheSafariExpert and @WildWildJourneys collaboration. 👍
The eco-philosopher conveying the timeless wisdom from nature. Simply wonderful I’m guessing the Mapesu reserve is wholly or partially fenced? Do the guests have any input on what activities or which part of the park the drives traverse? Could you elaborate on this aspect. It may be a great place to visit🎉
Thank you. The reserve is fenced and yes, you can choose from many activities offered there including game drives in both Mapesu and Mapungubwe. You can have the best of both worlds here. I’m sure the guides would be happy to consider your preferences too. It’s a fantastic part of the world and hope you can visit someday.
I'm so glad you captured the heart of Mapesu, the stunning scenery, amazing animals and rich history of that region. I have also visited them and felt the pride they have in being privileged caretakers. Thank you for sharing!
Such a great video . I ve been to mapungubwe and realy want to go back ones more and mayebe visit the naighbour as well , spend some more time there .. I was wondering what time of the year this was.. thanks anyway for posting this video..
I've been following you just recently but I've also already seen many of your videos and I can tell you one thing: you are made for this, Byron. Your narrative and storytelling is great, cohesive and very relaxing. You not only record magnificent videos but you do a fantastic job editing them and putting the pieces together. Hope to see many more in the future! Greetings from Spain :)
Byron, I absolutely love your Kruger trip videos, but I am so glad you are making me discover so many other amazing places across SA. Problem though, now my list keeps getting longer and longer 😂 Enjoyed all the historic stories. And oh my word, that baobab tree! ❤
I absolutely love all you content . From your first all the way through. I particularly loved your Mana Pools one. Please don’t become like some of the other content creators. You have a special energy and sensitivity that is very rare.
Awesome as always! the feeling of being free in nature, away from the noise of the cities and towns... seeing nature burst into life is just the best thing ever in ones life is being restored by the beauty of nature❤ Waiting for December to come then i will finally be free in the bush of the Kruger!❤
Absolutely beautiful and thanks Wildwild Journeys. One more thing, can you please do further and future African wildlife in Eastern and Southeastern Africa (Including in Rwanda, Uganda, Madagascar, Kenya, Zambia, Ethiopia and Tanzania) with their national parks?
Thank you. I’d love to visit all these places and more as soon as I can - working on it for sure. Tomorrow I leave for a special trip to Mana Pools, Zimbabwe. Can’t wait
Awesome video mate 👏 so glad to have stumbled across your channel really enjoying your videos. Live mapesu I spent some time there in the past it’s amazing to see it grow into what it is today. I was just wondering all the piece to camera and filming other people talking is that all on an action camera?
Thanks so much, Jason! That is mostly just with an action camera (DJI action 3) but for this video like at the rock art, I also used the R6 with 16-35mm lens. I don’t have a second body, so whatever is easiest and quickest at the time…
HI Byron im watching this once again coz you're content is like so amazing haha i also would like to know how you keep the camera like so stable while getting footage?
Good to hear, thank you! I’m shooting mostly handheld. I seem to have a steady hand. The in camera stabilizer, lens stabilizer and stabilizing in editing seems to all work well together
@WildWild Journeys Dear friend wild wild journeys, the comment here I sent to see is that is said “When you go to Africa’s other countries that I’ve mentioned earlier including (Rwanda, Ethiopia, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Madagascar and Democratic republic of the Congo) can you film and list of these iconic animals from there such as the savanna elephants of Kenya’s Samburu, Tsavo and Amboseli, Tanzania’s lake manyara, ngorongoro crater, serengeti and tarangire, Dian Fossey’s mountain gorillas (gorilla beringei beringei) of Congo’s virunga national park, Uganda’s Mgahinga gorilla national park and nkuringo sector of Bwindi impenetrable forest and Rwanda’s volcanoes national park, Jane Goodall’s chimpanzees of Tanzania’s Gombe stream, Issa valley and mahale mountains and Uganda’s budongo and kibale forest and kyambura gorge, hamadryas baboons of Ethiopia’s Awash national park and geladas of Ethiopia’s simien mountains and more of Africa’s mammals and birds?

Absolutely amazing. Love your work Byron, keep it up. What camera and lens do you use for video and stills?
Thank you so much. I use a Canon R6 and switch between a 70-200 f2.8 and a 100-500 lens
