For me they can't quite reach up there to him and Nela, they seem to match exactly perfectly for technique, but a lovely pairing. I just saw him and Nela opening Swan Lake and their level is quite far over the bar they already set themselves, beyond magic! I look forward to seeing Fumi and Vadim in Swan lake too
That was so perfect...i cryed because of the beauty in both dancers. So flawless, so perfect, so beautiful. And Fumi fits wonderful in this part. She is now at the top of her dancing...stunning performance🎉

BRAVISSIMO ❣❣❣❣ One of the most thrilling performances for this program. Kaneko is really becoming a prima of ROB and she radiates confidence and maintains great lines in each movement. Muntagirov is of course one of the top 3 danseurs in the world and it shows ❣❣❣
Vadim and Fumi have great purity of style, absolutely exquisite together! How lucky are we to see this wonderful interpretation of Grande pas classique ❤🎉🎉❤

Absolutely wonderful pairing here I've always admired vadim and kaneco. I must admit though it would have been better without the ridiculous clapping along as if it was a children's pantomime. Must have been very off-putting to these dancers although of course like the Professionals they are they did not let it show.
A superb soprano doing spectaclar vocal fireworks as warm up exercises; a magnificent concert pianitst performing brilliant octave work and difficult double runs up and down the piano; an Olympic athlete running a mile without sweating; that's all that this is. Boring genius homework. On with the show with emotion and drama, please. This is a warmup empty of emotion performed by superb dancers doing their duty.. Form without substance. Bah, humbug.
The moment I saw that Kaneko was in this, I knew she would be all wrong….she is just too short for the grand gestures required in this piece….she looks like a child wearing an oversized dress, when what’s wanted is a woman with long arms and legs to affect the correct attitudes. Her pairing with the truly classic Muntagirov is just a mistake, and I don’t understand the Royal Ballet’s rage for such short dancers! The eternal masterclass for this very mannered set piece is still Sylvie Guillem and Manuel Legris, in my opinion, because they make the unnatural look completely natural and easy, and I’ve never seen a woman execute such perfectly controlled, gorgeous Italian fouettés as Guillem appeared to be able to do in her sleep! And Legris’ controlled jumps and tours seem to have zero effort….he’s in the middle before you’ve registered his takeoff! The French dancers really do this piece best, which makes sense.

This was the finest performance I've seen of this piece. The background was distracting though. Maybe solid color would have been a better contrast.
