No, not at all! It's been a long time since I've seen such a risk-taking and fiery dancer as Shale Wagman. And she is also hands-on and very strong-willed. The perfect cast for this PDD!
Not taking anything away from their beautiful performance but I’ve seen Osipova and Vasiliev dance it with such fervour. I csnt put my finger on it but - there’s just no ‘joy’. It’s featureless . Just my opinion but lovely dancers. 👵🇦🇺
@gonefishing167 that is exactly the performance I had in mind - you get the impression they have the story of the revolution imprinted in their souls, and they are dancing it out!
@@gonefishing167 Osipova and Vasiliev are much more experienced dancers though. I would give both these beautiful dancers another few years and they will truly be on fire.
@@gonefishing167the video you are referring to is from the full length performance… it’s much easier to be in character than when just performing the pas de deux for a gala… especially when you are not used to the stage and partner.

"Империя зла" СССР оказывается создавала классные балеты.. ну-ну)
The USSR never owned ballet. It's a free art form, and more people worldwide should appreciate and engage.
What does it mean ? Nothing...
