- We race the Polaris Rzr TURBO R against the Polaris Rzr PRO R on the Mammoth Motocross Track! Everyone has been asking for this shootout for a long time, so we put both vehicles against the clock to see which one turns a faster lap time. We were above 7,000 ft elevation so you might be surprised by the winner!

Troy Lee owner right here. Dad bought the Turbo R Ultimate. Both are great and I can tell you on pavement, both 91 octane full tanks with me weighing about 60 lbs. more that mine goes from 45-95 a lot faster than his does. Take off is about the same than my 4 cylinder starts to leave his behind. Only downside to the 4 cyl I can think of is gas :)

Oh this is nice information from a drivers perspective. You looked like you were going harder in the Turbo R and a lil smoother in the Pro R. The turbo R probably felt faster but lap times don’t lie 😂

Yeah I hate the camera work on the cars but love the comparisons.
Think 360 camera would work well for trail riding but definitely not a fan using it for the track.

You won't be disappointed! Wish mammoth was open for a public track day that would be epic.
Getting those is the ultimate package is key. And for 5k less the turbo r is the car for me. Stage 3 tune full 3” back and hang TF on.

Very interested in the desert running over distance. Belt temps, speed, fuel consumption, handling whoops, jumping at speed….
Fuel mileage is so tough. For example we track fuel mileage in our race Turbo R and it is different everywhere we go, with variances up to 4mpg based on terrain & driver. Belt temps on the pro r have seen huge improvements, and the length helps the pro r in big whoops as well. The turbo R jumps a lot better on moto style jumps, most likely due to the front to rear weight percentage (which we have not checked).
Is the Pro R even legal to race in most series? aren't most race series capped at 1000cc. Can it be raced in Ultra 4 series?
I think that whoever puts a 4cylender on a SxS with a DCT will be #1.

Visually the Turbo R seemed and sounded faster!
Pretty wild. The Turbo R was about 55mph up the big hill and pro r was around 53. I think time was made up on corner entry in the pro r and the turbo lag hurt the turbo r

My pro r completely fell apart with less than 200 miles on it. One minute we were driving at 30 mph on a flat dirt road, the next we were stopped with a sheared main frame and broken ball joints around $17k in repairs. Very disappointed in polaris.
Looks like the turbo r with a tune would be the way to go

Yeah, 360 cams suck balls bc they face rear mostly. But as for sharp curves & s curves, it rocks.
One tune and you get 50 more horsepower to the wheels with the turbo R. I have 235+ with my Turbo R to the wheels. said once again
Couple hundred dollar stage 3 tune the pro R with an exhaust and intake and it’ll demolish a pro R. Do the same to a pro xp and it’ll smoke both

Well, there isn't a track mode 🤪 Thats a suspension setting on the cars with live valve, which this doesn't have. There are only 3 throttle maps
