this is one of those channels that is a joy to watch - particularly the 'afford-a-board' ones, Ryan has this simple, fun and chill approach in testing out these pedals.
More people should use flange in Surf Music. With verb and delay it's really something. Hey "sell out" guy, don't be a baby. Something nice happened to him, he got a box of pedals. How is that bad? And he still does a good job. LOL! Your videos are exactly the same! Keep it that way.
I'm so glad you showcased these arcade pedals because I seen them pop up on ZZ and was wondering what they sounded like and if they were any good some of these pedals I absolutely love! That GOD MODE Reverb BTW! One of the strangest reverb pedals I've ever heard 🤣 I was making a lot of the same face reactions to some of those sounds LOL thanks again 60cycle big fan of the content 🤘🙂🤘
FX order is cool to alter the sounds the way you want, and different players also have different noise situations. I go the old way with compressors - if I use one - always first, then OD or distortion, then modulations with verb and delay last. Tuners, buffered in the front, true bypass last (sometimes both). Fun video.
Okay, Okay, Okay Already I had to get the Reverb, just cause you're right! It's just weird! Also while there on you affiliate link I bought a Cioks power supply system as well. Support your Affiliate candidate people 😅
They are all rebranded Mooer pedals. Some are 15 year old models. Most have been introduced over 5 years. The Fuzz is the Mooer Tri-Angle Buff. If you get, once again the same pedal as a Sonicake it is called a Fazy Cream it is $24.00 USD.
I think the reverb is a rebadge of the Mooer Shimverb. Same knobs and modes. The Shimverb is notorious because the shimmer mode gives a sound that's one 5th above the clean signal, rather than 1 octave above like a regular shimmer. So alot of dissonance.
Arrived. Box totally crushed as it was shipped in a bubble wrapped bag. Guess I don’t need the box anyway. Hopefully it works as the actual unit seems to have survived.
Okay, so I have just confirmed something that I have believed for a long time. The various versions of these pedals, at least when they have the same control layout and names, are the same thing with different graphics. The Arcade Reverb was over $85 Canadian on Amazon a couple of days ago (not showing now). The VSN branded version, which I bought, was $35.50. I just got it, and, as far as I can tell, it sounds identical to the Arcade version that was tested here. I strongly suspect that all of these pedals are just rebranded versions of already existing pedals. Not that that is a bad thing, but if what you want is the sound, not the label, you might be able to get the same thing for less than the Arcade branded version. I've had a different branded version of the flanger for a year or so now as well. Word is that it is an EH Electric Mistress copy (or at least an emulation). It certainly has the same control names as the EM and the filter switch works the same as the EM by just disabling the LFO.
They're all made to order pedals from a factory in china. Mooer, Donner, Rowin, VSN, Soomme, Sonicake, Keytars, Arcade Audio, Movall and ISET are all selling identical circuit pedals excepting the main knobs and enclosure graphics.
If you ever wanted to know what sweet love between a man and a lubed up glove sandwiched between two couch cushions sounds like, it's the God Mode Reverb
When you turned the 'tone' knob anticlockwise on the spring reverb, it seemed like it backed off on the weird "bubbly" sound. I wonder if adjusting tone on the shimmer reverb would reduce the ring modulator sound and go to more of a normal shimmer effect?
You'll have to experiment more with the reverb to see if it'll give you the right amount of drip, sounds like it might have some potential. The echo/delay was pretty wild, I'm sure I've heard some of those sounds on Lost in Space!🤣
I don't think I've ever been got so quick. I've already ordered the Warp Zone because I fully expect Electro-Harmonix to hit Arcade with a cease and desist pretty soon. One of those switch settings sounds just like some of the "Filter Matrix" stuff that EHX' Electric Mistress introduced me to way back in the 1970s. I started playing around 50 years ago and was very broke for a long time. Pedals came rarely and far between, so one had time to get familiar with the few one had. I owned an Electric Mistress back in the day, and played around with it nearly no end. That old, cheap, analog filter matrix made a very distinctive sound that I have not heard since my Mistress was stolen.😡🤬 At least, until now. I couldn't and didn't resist. I should be ashamed -- but I bet I won't be!😎🤘🎸
That Sunset Runner graphic is giving me a strong Outrun vibe, especially from a company called Arcade Audio :P that alone sorta makes me want it because it's so cheap anyway, and i love chorus. Same with the God Mode, I'm an even bigger nut for having different kinds of verb, and that is definitely different, I sorta want that thing, I can't imagine it with my death metal hi gain distortions, but if I do snag one, I won't have to try to imagine, I'm gonna run it through my Crate BV300H channel 3, and my MXR 5150 and Wampler Triple Wreck, not expecting it to be great sounding, but I do expect it to put a smile on my face and be a bunch of boingy fun here and there :P it'll probably end up on my bass rig, I already have multiple verbs on my two guitar rigs, both rigs have room, spring and shimmer options, so I have a feeling I'm gonna have fun with it on bass too.
I would suggest that you add ‘time stamps’ so we as listeners could skip the effects we’re not interested in. But don’t get me wrong… I love your demos and humor. 👍🎸
Hi, Ryan! I just turned on the TV and caught your demo of that crazy reverb. You asked if anyone bought this and I just placed my order for it on Amazon. Crazy stuff!!!! I really need to talk to you about a couple things....how can we get in touch? SERIOUSLY! BobinAZ (who got kicked out of band I started because I was so much into Surf and Link Wray). Would you consider reviewing the new squire affinity jaguar in mystic brown? The controls are different and it has strat pickups, it’s a $300 guitar im considering to get, wanted to see what you think?
Yup that's definitely what it is oilcan reverb like an old fender dimension oilcan effect where you can choose reverb or like Doppler effect and they added them together somehow that's really cool now I want one it's so weird
During the exploration of the god mode reverb, you didn’t really explore the left side of the tone knob. I think that’s the attenuator for the weirdness 😂 I’m interested to hear the darker tone settings to see if it tames the fever dream reverbs 😆
I generally don't like Chorus pedals; they tend to sound like there's just too much going on. I do actually like this one. WHAT A TRIPPY VERB! Maybe I gotta get one because of just that. I t sounds like your pick is triggering something cool every time you pluck a note. Like a little flange thing? Wow! I insist you put that on your board LOL!!!
I strongly suspect these are the same OEM pedals companies like Rowin and Mooer sell. I'm not saying that's bad but I've bought two of the same pedal on multiple occasions because I wasn't paying attention.
That's either like the Flreb in the electro-harmonix Holy Grail reverb pedal or a software malfunction, which happened to me with a mooer shimverb pedal.
That chorus is rather nice and lush especially at higher settings without getting into silly warble territory. The God Mode reverb sounds less spring more bubble + reverb especially on chords, I like that, a lot, I found a similar sound 20 years ago as part of a successful attempt to create electric whale music using an electric guitar (an original Washburn A10V) using a bit of ring mod from a zoom studio rack and a reverb as well as other effects. OK having heard the 'shimmer' I would swear that it has a ring mod in it! I want one but cannot get one in the UK 😞
Having trawled the cheopo 3 switch reverb pedals on TH-cam to find if it is a re-badge judging from the sounds. I think this is a re-badge of Rowin/Amuzik Ocean Verb, both of which we can get in the UK, so might well order one when I have some spare pennies, the pain of being on a retirement pension. 😥
I understand you want to demo the sound of the pedals with the Mix turned up, but at some point you need roll the control back below noon and give us a more typical sound when it is being used. Thanks!
I like when in your videos you twist the knobs and i see your hand. I made a game out of trying to count as man freckles as i can before you pull your hand away.

Sounding weird but not having an overlapping or cross over to ruin the fun.

With that ... !😎
That reverb sounds like someone described what a drip was to the developer and they just said, "yeah, that's probably right"
To some extent that applies to all of them. Not exactly bad, but something.
I think this is the first time I've heard a "Squirt" Reverb. Not a Spring Reverb... A Squirt. :)
That Reverb is a trip! You totally need to build a "Weirdo Board"!

They should rename that reverb a "Paddling of Ducks." It turns "dripping" into "splashing" with an element of "quack."
That "Shimmer" setting on the "Reverb" would be better branded as a Sitar simulator.
