      @@williamwest9204 “that legacy stuff is stupid”…. Bro, quit acting like old wrestlers haven’t come back and made themselves look terrible. Austin’s gonna try to look like Austin from 20 years ago and it’s not gonna happen. This is no different than Ric Flair having the perfect send off match with HBK, only to turn around and taint his image in TNA. Everyone was convinced his legacy was ruined, but I still think of HBK’s last match as being against Taker at WrestleMania.
      I also think that Austin will have learned from what HBK did, and he won’t be coming back for a 20 minute old school Austin match. It’ll be a novelty. I think Randy Orton is the best guy and draw for the match and you can even make it a legend killer storyline. Agreed. I know the Lesner proposal which lead to Austin taking his ball and going home gets a lot of flack but if it hadn't been booked then I doubt it ever would have happened; while the WWE weren't seemingly aware of how bad Austin's neck was at the time, the fact that he only wrestled 2 matches in '03 before his match with The Rock (both of which were 5 minute long squashes vs. Eric Bischoff) suggests that he would have barely gotten through the feud he was having with Flair, Benoit and Guererro at the time before having to pack up.

    You can book it almost exactly like you did Rock vs Hogan. Make Punk the heel and gradually let him organically turn back into the baby face throughout the match. If there was anyone out there that Austin would be willing to put over, it is Punk. Even if you let him win, Punk is good enough to make Austin himself look good and both men would come out on top. I hope to God that Austin doesn't come back to wrestle a match.... I think it'll be a bad look... Like when Shawn Michaels came back for that abomination of a tag team match in Saudi Arabia...

    • @littlehorn8503
      @littlehorn8503 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah but it was against Undertaker (past prime) and Kane (past prime) plus HHH got injured so yeah that’s why it turned out bad but Austin having a match with Kevin who is still young can turn out to be good

    • @cmi2010
      @cmi2010 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well. As far as Dx vs BOD is concerned. All of them were in their mid 50's plus triple h was badly injured (and still finished the match). Shawn was probably the best part of that match all things considered.

    • @michaelrandle7296
      @michaelrandle7296 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it wouldn't be as bad as a Shawn Michaels situation because Austin had already transformed himself into more of a brawler towards the end of his career anyway. So, this match would be more of a brawl with maybe a couple rest holds, a comeback, and then a stunner. No more than maybe 10 minutes.

Austin has no need to wrestle, and folks constantly want to say Vince is desperate but it ain't showing cause they still making money.

    Austin bought a ring from high spots over the summer. I had to set up an emergency ring for Mission Pro because the one they were going to provide was taken by Steve. I even got to see the video of the girl who drove it out there running the ropes with him after he was set up. They have had those talks for mania for a bit.

    Considering his neck was already shot before he won his first world title.
    Austin had already lost most of his technical wrestling ability due to injuries, by the time he became a main eventer as Stone Cold, due to the neck injury from Owen, and even by the time he first became Stone Cold, due to his knees.
    Stunning Steve was one of the great underrated technical wrestlers of the early 1990s, with Pillman in the Hollywood Blonds.
    At this point, he is so broken down it would be pure nostalgia with a short brawl and handing out stunners.

    You can get a big pop from the Texas Rattlesnake. And I don't think he has to do too much. All he has to do is come out to the ring, to a standing ovation, which is the respect he's owed, work a pretty basic match with KO, kick him in the gut, give him the Stunner, pin him 1-2-3, chug a beer with the ref, and we can all go home happy

    They need to end that damn brand split. There should be one Heavyweight Champ. One Women’s division champ, one set of tag team champs, an Intercontinental and US Champion. Make NXT guys that become North American or NXT champ get a shot at the US or Intercontinental Championship once in awhile, or as a way to debut upcoming stars to the main roster. They should recap the latest NXT highlights on RAW and Smackdown. Both RAW and Smackdown can feature the same stars and they could compete for the championship titles for their particular division. Have NXT guys get money in the bank contracts to compete for the NXT championship belts to cycle in new upcoming stars.
    Have the US or Intercontinental Champ get a shot at the Heavyweight Champ at Survivor Series. The HOF members or legends that are still able to wrestle should get their own championship division .. The Legends Division. Legends could wrestle occasionally like Goldberg has done and they can wrestle each other for the Legend’s Division Championship. This way the company can highlight active competing legends and still build new stars.
