Your options for leader to braid are good for finesse fishing. For big fish I personally prefer FG knots. The knot is stronger and much thinner if tied around thick leader.
I like the FG knot much better, it is stronger and smoother. But I gave up on tying fluorocarbon to braid, it was just too much hassle on the water when your line snagged and broke. I now just use the Palomar knot for everything, tying braid to the spool, tying lines together and tying lures. I used to fish with 2m leaders but now I just tie 30cm of fluorocarbon to a swivel on one end and a quick snap (spiraling) on the other end. I have several of these 30cm leaders with me and when my line breaks on the water I just tie the braid line with a Palomar knot to the swivel on the end of the fluorocarbon. Works very nice and I can fish in the snags without worrying too much.
One day, I will be able to tie braid to mono. The day the sun rises in the west, and gravity goes up. But thank you for helping me, One day. Cheers chap.

I know fg knot is alot harder to make but i think its the superior knot. Beging able to fish 2m+ leaders can make so much difference.
Correct, with fine lines FG makes no sense.
