I’m a journalist… and no offence to the journalist who carried out this interview, but you don’t have the personality, the drive or the skill to handle people like Tasneem Moosa in an interview. Inshallah you can hone that skill and cover more hard news in the future. For now, Laudium Sun should have assigned a stronger journalist for this story.
This journalist was absolutely terrible, no confidence, eating her words, looking at the roof when talking. And not asking important questions! This is very disappointing especially for such a sensitive case.

2. How can they be contacted to verify your statement?
3. Is your company registered in SA or Dubai?

Unfortunately I am afraid people are not going to get their money back. However she might surrender some of the stolen money as refunds to verify her bogus liquidation.

Dearest Tasneem, atleast you did one good thing as a Muslim over these auspicious weeks and months, considering 15th Shabaan is days away, and as we all know it's a time where it's a stock take on our lives, and this world or dunya is temporary, greatest fear is to return to Allah in a way that HE is not happy with us! hence May Allah Grant us all hidaya and keep us on the straight path as the Ummah is suffering and we are in times where holding onto our Imaan is like holding on hot coals.
The only reason that you are now coming on, let's be candid, the pressure is on as truth with all the official cases logged, you cannot hide and abscond so you know that you have to avail yourself. Even if that was not your intention but you hid from your clients, your team had no clue about your whereabouts and sorry but surely you could have let your team know what's going on

On that note, did you not think of them when you you were managing your business, meaning they look up to you as a role model, to provide for them, someone they can respect. Children are exposed to social media, and they can read too. As you admitted, the business acumen and savvy was a deficit, yet you still published before covid, in the pandemic, post covid trips knowing that both travel and the tourist industry was severely impacted. Even though you were trying to fulfill previous commitments, you used future trip payments as a guarantee. That's when livelihood of your family is paramount however what you failed to consider and while you cried for your family, what do you think you did to all the clients that trusted you and your Influencers? Their kids too are important to them, cost of living, jobs and just even thinking of a holiday...so it's not a luxury to many which many of your influencers do live a luxurious lifestyle, and you didnt just cancel a trip, you left with monies not giving them an idea what's going on, and whether its 20 to 100k per family, it's their amaanat they trusted you with.
3. You live in the most secure country, in Dubai they chop your hands off for theft, surely you could have logged a compalin against these threats and get a restraining order. Without undermining your concern for your children, you didnt think about others and selfishly placed your wellbeing a priority. Leaving so many that were due to travel in a matter of days, paid you for a Dubai trip meant to go now in March and you just yes ran away. Now you say its reported incorrectly, simple put yourself in all these people shoes? No way to get hold of you, no where to message, your friends that served as influencers, admin team cant help, the airlines and resorts contradict everything you told, so it's not about anger, its about the ethical business dealings. You may apologize but you knew in Jan 2022 when you did your live IG video that you were not coping and again you mislead the people that trusted you. You had an opportunity to come clean, do right but you still lied together with your influencers on that live because they still backed you up.
You were in south Africa, dbN and CT recently too with them, lunching and delivering gifts to them

4. Liquidation based on what? Your company doesn't exist with a Balance Sheet. You claiming theres no money, and no trips past 6months took place to account to pay? These lawyers advising you are they on pro bono? Since you have no monies.?
So if no money why is there a Hyperama Turkey that's under your name with a possiblity to set one up in Turkey like the SA citizen that has established that franchise in UAE?

5. How is it the Maldives resort evident a traveler you never booked? Where was your responsibility in letting the traveller know you took her money as published on IOL from the Maldives resort, verbatim their response?
6. These influencers, I got to truly say, even on thos interview, you are a genuine friend to still protect them. Yes, they may have not got money, but they were compensated on a free fully all exclusive paid trips with upgrades that you treated them with, and pre travel trip teasers from sunglasses to extremely expensive sets, which they proudly showcased on their IG stories, again, Influencers, the role is coined by the Western modernization, not a Muslim way of life, an intellectual debate for another time. So they have a written or unwritten responsibility to their followers on their reviews be it a product, experience or paid partnership. So when the incentive is for every booked and paid ticket they get an incentive, and like one of your Influencers publicly declared that you paid her R 2500 for every booking, well, then they have to refund that as the trip never took place
Now that's ethical and a strong moral compass. I'm sure your attorneys will advise same even if its past travel using future paid bookings to cover those costs.
A Muslim knows better, that's not halaal rozi, no barakah in such rizq when trust is broken. A muslim word is their honour. Simple, we have Allah command, our Quraan, our Nabi saw and his family as significant role models to us.

I was shocked to see this story.
I met her many years ago when she was doing summercamos and she got a poor child sponsored. She had quite a few kids and a husband that had serious visions problems.

My experience of her many years ago was helping a poor kid get sponsored on a summer camp and it was a great experience for this kid. I dont know her beyond that but I find it hard to believe she could have plotted for millions. Maybe I am naive but that observation and her coming online and seeing people far worse never be willing to be available online to explain without a lawyer has made me question if maybe an investigation and liquidation can not be part of helping her right this wrong?

Registered Travel agents abide by a strict code of conduct and do things ethically and professionaly.
