All the best for the year ahead, Sir. Thank you for your time and introduction to this equipment.
Thanks, you too! 🥰🥰
I loved my Pass Labs INT-25 before my son left this world and I quit music after everything was stolen. I would like to hear a First Watt. The Pas Labs had a slightly warm wonderful sound with Dynaudio Special 40s in my
Sorry for your loss
So your son died and everything you own was stolen? Tell us what happened.
@@YouSoundButtHurt I was moving to another state. My son was going to live in and watch my house. When he left this earth 2 weeks before my move, the house was empty. Squatters moved in stole everything and trashed the house to where I had to do a quit claim deed. So I lost everything and my mind was so messed up from the loss of my son, I could not deal well with it. Insurance does not cover damage from someone living there even though they are there without your knowledge.
All first watt amps have the same chassis, transformers, and capacitor bank. It's the amp modules that doffer
What a difference it makes.
Probably the best review and response I’ve seen about First Watt in general. I’ve heard the F6 driven by a tube pre and tube phono pre running Tekton Pendragons and Fortes, and it was absolutely amazing. Pretty much everything you mentioned about the F7 I heard in the F6. It just sounded so damn good…lol. I’ve built, upgraded, and modified my gear, and I’m extremely tempted to build an F6 via diy audio. I’ll add it to the never ending “project list”. Thanks, man. Appreciate this review and your channel. 🔊😊🎶
Thanks man!! Much appreciated! I had so much fun with this amp.. she’s a beaut!
Can confirm this. I built an F6 in 2022. I’ve only upgraded the power supply to a beefier cap and toroids for more headroom. Next will be the blue LEDx3 bias change. Even so, I never went back to using anything else again. The tack sharp precision and warmth all in one is 👌
Very nice!! 👍🏼
Great take here. I’m familiar with Nelson Pass. Believe my Adcom amps were his design. I can see you really liked this amp. Can’t blame you.
Lots to love.. :)
A box with heat dissipating fins, no VU meters and sounds fantastic. All the things I desire. Great review.
Thank you James!! My name as well. :)
Another one to check out that sounds fantastic is the Galion TS A75. Review soon, but so good for the money.
Nice review! now my such a „first watt“ E-650 from Accuphase is 4 years old and Im still loving it 🎉
That's awesome!
She’s a beaut, I love the look of the thing.
Me too. 🥰🥰🥰
Sounds lovely , i understand Speaker pairing is important
Thank you !
You are welcome!
You can get right angle IEC 320 power cords that allow fitment in tight spaces. Pretty common for computer hardware!
Good advice! Lots of great options.
Thank you. I run a J2, magical.
Fantastic! I would love to hear one!!
Bring on the amps!
We have MANY arriving in 2023.... :)
Great review! Looks green to me 😂
You and me both!
Have you tried it with some Zu speakers by any chance?
I have not, but I have a pair of Druid 6 close by.. :)
Why are the fins horizontal rather than vertical? So that the heat from the bottom fins can ascend to the those above them and make them even hotter? That's not a good design choice.
I’m sure Nelson Pass who’s been designing world class amps for 50 years understands better than you and I. They work great at dissipating heat. Cheers.
That Blue/green led creates unnecessary heat too, bad design. Also those heat sinks should be reflective, as to avoid IR heat absorption, bad design. Or wait… does this amp ever overheat? The many reviews I’ve followed say…no. The heat transfer is probably adequate, as designed.
@@mikechristensen1285 I’d agree. 😆🙌
Aleph just Google... Also the new Musical Fidelity A1 is incredible which runs like a toaster as per the original however is much more stable 🙂
Lots of great options. 😊🫡🤗
It'll last as long as a $5 toaster too.
There's no reason an amp should be running that hot
@@crazyprayingmantis5596 I think a "toaster" is a bit of an exaggeration of course.. LOL..... But yea, Class A runs warm for sure. No issue in longevity, many have been around for 30+ years. :)
Try Audio Music amps
All kinds of great options out there. :)
200 👍
200🫡
Subout ???
You seen the back of it just like I did… 🤷🏻♂️🫡
Sub out would be from your preamp, this is just an amplifier.
