Do it! And it won't be hard to find even better speakers. I'd still like to upgrade our stereo, and again with the speakers. Upgrades are so rewarding. Yesterday I upgraded my awning fabric to all black top and bottom, so rewarding. Thanks for stopping by bud. Have with your rig.
I remember the "Day in the Life" video when David bought the tape measure and was sitting and playing with it. You never know when you'll need one, especially when it comes to measuring holes!!
No problem. I wish that new stereo would have worked out. But at least now we all know what to expect. I'm still loving the new speakers. But I'll think I'll go a nicer brand this summer. They sound as great with every type of music.
The bracket that would amount on the side of that radio is basically like an l bracket and then it comes out to the front of the dash it would screw to the dash from the front and then you would have a trim bezel that would surround the stereo and you wouldn't see the mount bracket or the screws
The head unit is 2 zoned if you look at your head unit it has 1-2 on it so you can turn off part of the van sound. The head unit is 40w per channel just turn off one of the zones. Also download the App for it and change the eq etc and it sound fine.
Nice decor btw…. Hey good video! Question if I may: what’s your thoughts on the Furrion product? Sound system and (if you have any other Furrion appliances?) thx!
In my opinion, based on my experience. Furrion is junk. We replaced the TV Day 1. We still have 2 furrion stereo units that are both unreliable. Their features come and go. Sometimes the Bluetooth feature just disappears.
Awesome how to upgrade video. Love all the tips. BTW I have that same exact shirt. I've been wearing it all week. LOL! Very comfy for sure. Looks great on you. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Enjoy the festive fun!
With regards to back/front seat sounding different, the biggest difference isn't the wiring, it's the fact that you have A) a trunk and B) generally a larger speaker..... say a 6x9 in back versus a 5.25" in front. It sounds like they wired them in parallel so you're getting a 2ohm load and actually getting the full power. You may be disappointed when you redo all the wiring and find out they are now in series and drop half the wattage.
We haven't done anything with the outside speakers. They are actually inside our outdoor kitchen ceiling and run through a 2nd stereo dedicated to the outdoor kitchen. But I'll for sure be upgrading it at some point. It's just a regular car stereo setup. Should be simple and straight forward.
@@vdubing01 I wss talking head unit, the pioneer would change everything. Decent speakers non trash..Skippy town. MY female woild tear that up..No judgement everybody starts somewhere.
My outside speakers run on their own stereo inside the outdoor kitchen. Mine are not exposed to weather so they'd be the same process. If you're are exposed to weather the process of the same. But you'll need outdoor rated speakers. You'll also need to seal between the back side of the speakers and the wall with butyl tape. It's best described as a putty. And then use a weather rated silicone base caulking to seal around the outside of the speaker where it meets the rv wall.
@@vdubing01 yeah you should but you should also be careful when doing so cause you look out for the wattage. And I hat those speakers are capable of handing. To stay in the safe zone
That's not a terrible idea. The only problem is reaching the L bracket. Once the stereo is slid into the hole there is no access point to tighten any screws. It's the worst.
Happy holidays guys. Glad you have a vacation as 2 videos this week.
Hey Jim. Well have at least 1 more by the time Christmas is over.
Hope you're having a great holiday season.
Infinity sells some beautiful speakers for auto with nice grilles
Oh really!!!? I'm for sure checking that out. Thank you so much!
loved seeing this video, encourages me to modify mine camper ( maybe with even better speakers!)

😂🤣😅 I knew someone would have something to say about measuring holes.
@@vdubing01 It's best not to leave those things to chance... measure twice!!
Hey Nic! Super excited to see this upgrade! I'm sick, but trying so hard to get better since we are camping this weekend in the RV for the first time.
Oh no! I hope you feel better. Sometimes camping is the best medicine.
Oh, perfect! I'm glad you're not going to have to make the holes any bigger!
I was sure I had too. So happy they just fit.
Dash mounting kits for those radios are sold separately, pioneer makes a great head unit.
Good to know. I guess I'm old school. They've always been included back in the day.
Nice upgrade! Thank you for videoing & uploading ♥️♥️♥️

Yeah. Like a traditional car stereo upgrade. I'm surprised this unit didn't come with anything like that.

The original radio had an app?
@@vdubing01 yes you set it up via the app. Eq etc. it also has a HDMI out and theater sound as well as a woofer out
Great job man !

Huge improvement!!
Omg I know right. Very happy with them.
I hope you all are able to find something better in the futute, but at least you got nice, new speakers!
Yes. I don't think I'll bother with the head unit. The speakers alone improved the sound enough.

The Grinch shirt? 😁 I'm so happy with this upgrade!!

I want a cookie!! ❤ The speakers sound great!!
Thanks guys. 😊 I'm baking cookies and pies this weekend.
You can buy a Double DIN cage separate, usually under $20
WHAT!!!!? Good to know.
Damn! Now you got me wanting to replace our speakers! LOL. The outside speakers on ours are the WORST! Have you done anything with your outside ones?

5.25 is the measurement of the bolt circle
Thank you Kent. 😁 I'm still wanting to upgrade the stereo itself. Maybe this winter.
The new speakers should sound much better
Is a pretty good improvement. I think I'll so upgrade the unit eventually.

Secure an L bracket to the back and screw it in place??

Make a frame bro...
I've thought about doing that. 🤔 When I find some time. It's really the only way to go.

Ikr. I couldn't believe it.
Brenda Lee is so annoying I'm a big fan of Christmas music next time you demonstrated the speakers try copyright free music
Who's Brenda Lee?
